Dear Titleist Corporation I wanted to write to you and thank you for having the opportunity to play both your club and ball while I SHOT A HOLE IN ONE on #8 at Marine Memorial Golf Course at Camp Pendleton California on February 7th, 2020. Its my first hole in one I’ve every had in my golfing exploits. As you may know, this course is a fairly lengthy layout, with canyon winds that can make every shot a challenge. When I stepped onto the tee box of #8, the “official” distance from the white tees is measured at 194 yards to the middle of the green. Which was where the flag was on that day. The wind had to be blowing at least 12 knots into my face. At age 63, there is only one way I can reach that green now with that wind and distance, and that is with my 12.5 degree Titleist 913D Driver. It has always been a “go to” club. Especially off the tee. I always play with a Titleist ProV1. As usually the ball came off the face of the club with a high trajectory and a very slight fade. The ball was hard to follow at that distance but I knew it hit the front left of the green. Upon approaching the green, my playing partners all told me to look over over the green as they were certain I had flown it and used way too much club. To my surprise, there it was, in the center of the cup. The witnesses all enjoyed the beer i bought after the game. I just wanted to say thanks for all the memories over the years of playing with my buddies, using excellent equipment that never seems to fail me. Sincerely, Commander Kurt Alan Nielsen,
