On October 10 2021, My wife and I joined another couple to play a late fall round. It was chilly and cloudy out. We were on hole # 3 at Flying Horse North, The course has only been open for a year of play at the time. The greens were firm, and even more firm this morning. I hit a four hybrid, at an uphill par 3, with a back pin, playing 210 yards. I had a great strike on my Titleist Pro V1, and watch it take a hop on the green and nothing else from this below grade perspective. We came up to the green and couldn't find my ball. Originally, I thought it may have flown off the back of the green with the firmness and cold conditions. My ball was the only ball that was able to be on the green, but it was no where to be found. I immediately went pessimistic and grabbed a ball from my bag as I walked to the green from the cart. My buddy asked his wife to check the hole as he was going to the bunker for his ball. His wife looked at the other bunker and said it wasn't there. He asked her again, explaining for her to check the hole for my ball, not the bunker. She nonchalantly walks by the hole, looks in and says "Yeah, its there". Obviously we were ecstatic for the hole in one, and obviously she wasn't impressed. A great day for sure!
