Playing in the Monthly Medal on 24th September 2022. I was playing the 4th hole at West Bradford Golf Club. The yardage was 167 yards with a little help from the wind. My intention was drop the ball short of the green and let it run on. I hit a pure 7 iron, watching it looked good, it hit the front of the green and jumped forward with a little check. I saw the flag move but didn't see the ball go in the hole. I thought it would be at the back of the green so I picked my putter up and on entering the green no visible ball. My shout of joy could be heard all over the course. My first hole in one in competition. Alsa no watch, shame after 50 years of trying.
