Saturday, April 29th of 2023, I finally got my first hole-in-one! #13 at L.E. Kaufman in Wyoming, MI, where I have been a member for many years. I play during the group with a group, and on the weekend with a great group of golf buddies that having been playing together for many years. We are the first groups off most every Sat & Sun. Hole #13 was playing 158 yards, I hit a 6 iron which landed softly about 1/3 of the way up the green, tracking towards a deep pin on this green which slopes from back to front. I went with 6 iron because on the previous day, my 5 iron left me above the pin, not an easy putt, but I converted the birdie. Did not want to be above the pin for a second straight day. Ball rolling to the cup, I'm yelling "GO IN", one of my playing partners is yelling "SETTLE", it did both settling gently in the bottom of the cup! Not sure it ever touched the pin. I play the new (2022) AVX and absolutely love this ball. Many of my playing partners have also switched.
