My wife hit a hole in one on July fourth while playing a small family/friends tournament in Coldwater, MI. Burned me up cause not only does she not play golf regularly, she says she doesn't even like the game. I had never hit one and was bitter that she got one.....till the next day I hit my first at a gorgeous signature hole of the Banff Springs (AB - Canada) Stanley Thompson Course. I got matched up with four randoms and nice people for a lovely round. The fourth hole has a 30-ish yard elevation change from the tee box down to the green with a big boggy pond in between and mountain rock face along the right edge. Breath takingly beautiful! Cause of the elevation change I was unsure which club to pull, but one of the guys playing with me talked me into my seven iron on account of the back of green sloped up serving as a backstop. Hit the club flush to the back left edge of the green and it gracefully rolled in. The twosome in front of us saw it first and went nuts! Then I went crazy.... The fact I got a hole in one the day after my wife still blows me aways. Thanks to Titleist for being the ball I hit it with!
