I was competing in a large individual stroke play tournament, NGA Championship, and it was the second of two rounds. The first round I carded a 6 due to an unplayable lie. The second round would prove to be much sweeter.
It was 128 yards uphill into a strong headwind. So I clubbed up and went to my go-to knockdown shot. Grabbed my T100S 8 iron and played a baby cut. My 4some was in carts, as I walked up the hill I heard the screams. I assumed I was tight but had zero clue how tight. My friend Mitch holds up one finger, I proceeded to hold up one finger; and as he confirmed my body went numb from excitement.
Not only did I have the ace, I won my net division in the championship flight.
It was a great up and down round!!
