It was a perfect Monday afternoon. I love Fall golf, 65° and sunny with a slight breeze in the air. First time at Mount Vernon Country Club--a classic Ault-Clark design, where the greens are its defense. They were especially slick today, as I was in a 2-man tourney for Multiple Sclerosis!
I was pissed because i just got a bogey on #1! I approached #2, 161 yds a slight tail wind behind. The pin was in a front position, 7 paces on and 5 paces from the right. Mind you, just over a giant kidney-shaped bunker. I grab my 8i, tee it up little higher than normal. With a full backswing, it's a perfect strike of a brand new Pro-v1x with my T-100s 8i. It landed a yard from the pin, skipped past, spun back and disappeared!
The only thing that made it sweeter were the shots of Bourbon and the Cuban hand-rolled I enjoyed immediately afterwards.
What a great effin day!
