  1. After hoping out on the first hole for eagle with wedge in hand, I became accustomed to seeing the ball fall in the hole from any angle. I step up to the tee an 8 iron in hand from 155 yds on overcast, damp day. My only focus was to put a good swing on it as I ran through my practice routine, narrating my feel process. I take my smooth swing, making a flush contact as I can get. I see the ball starting where I aimed, tracking towards the hole. I see the ball drop down almost on the pin, as that is as far as I can see without my glasses. I turn to my mates as they scream and beg the ball to go in the hole. In disbelief, I hear them say it went in as they jump and run at me. I couldn’t believe it until I used my scope to see that there were no balls on the green except a divot near the pin. Right then and there I was four under through four jumping on the tee box with excitement. I finish the 9 hole round with 6 under par.
