Playing what could have been my worst golf of the year to start a week long golf trip. We started on hole 10, so this was only the sixth hole of the trip. After making a bad bogey on 5(14) I got in the cart and said to my cart mate "I need to turn this round around fast." I lasered the flag on Currituck's 15th hole to 148 yards. I was the last to shoot after the rest of my group scattered the green. I hit a slight fade into the breeze coming off the Currituck sound. I started walking back to the cart thinking I hit a decent shot on the green. A slight gust of wind pushed by ball back left to land 10 feet past the hole and suck right back into it. We couldn't see the ball at first so we raced to the green to notice there was no ball on the green, but rather in the cup.
