This afternoon I was able to score my first hole in one on the Senator course RTJ at Capitol Hill in Prattville, AL, USA at hole 16 (Par 3, 149yrds, T-300 7 iron)! Not an event you get to experience very many times in your life. What makes it special is that I only started playing golf 5 months ago, due to my one year stay in Alabama. In these 5 months I was able to improve my handicap with a lot of training on the driving range, golf lessons and many rounds on different golf courses, especially RTJ courses. My handicap is now 21.5 according to the USGA GHIN. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my randomly assigned flightmates for the great rounds of golf and sometimes also for their understanding towards a "beginner". I was able to meet so many exciting people and even make friends through golf. I look forward to improving my golf game in the coming months and years and getting to know all the beautiful corners of the USA through this sport.
