  1. I planned a Father's Day golf weekend with my two sons George III and John near my home in Millville, DE. My brother Jim rounded out the foursome and were set to play Glen Riddle Golf Club's War Admiral course in Berlin MD, on Saturday morning followed by a round at the Links at Lighthouse Sound on Sunday. We played Saturday morning as planned and over lunch agreed that we had enough energy to play 36 and went out on Glen Riddle's other course, Man O' War after lunch. My moment of glory came on the 13th hole which was playing 165 yards that day with the pin set towards the front of the green. I hit a seven iron perfectly and it proceeded dead straight on a line towards the hole. It was hard to see the ball when it landed due to the late afternoon sun behind the green, but my brother and son George immediately looked at each other and said at the same time …” oh my God, did that go in?” As we got close to the green, we saw a ball was pin high about eight feet to the left of the hole and my brother said my ball must have hit the pin and caromed to the left. A bit deflated, I approached that ball first and saw it was a Titleist 4. However, I knew I had played Titleist 3 and when I went to the hole and peeked in…. there it was at the bottom of the cup! I raised my arms and yelled “It’s in the hole!” and the four of us proceeded to celebrate like lunatics around the pin. The moment could not have been more special…sharing it with my two sons on Father’s Day weekend along with my brother who also happens to be my number one playing partner!
