  1. Woke up this morning to go work on some things at the driving range near my house. When I got there, the range was packed, so pivoted and went to play 9 holes at Bixby Village Golf Course near my house in Long Beach. It was a pretty cool morning and I remember seeing a video where Phil Michelson said that the ball doesn't travel as far on cold mornings. So on the number one hole, I take out my 7 iron to go about 135 yards and absolutely pured it to about 150 yards. I normally hit the 7 iron about 140, so I was stoked. Although I was 15 yards long, I wound up with a par. I birdie #2 but wound up with bogeys on 4 and 5. The easiest hole on this course in number 6, so I was thought I had a good chance on a birdie....Nope, I bogeyed it. I hit a clean 4 iron into number 7 and got a par and saved a par on number 8 with with 20 foot putt par. Heading into the 9th hole, I saw that the flag was just beyond the bunker and could only see the top of the flag from 95 yards out. I cant hit it short or goes into bunker but hitting it long means a nasty downhill shot or putt. So I pull out my 54 degree and try to lift one up just over the bunker. I hit it so well, I thought it was long and over the green. So I walk to back of the green and cant find the ball, walk to the front of the green to see if it was short and in the bunker. My playing partner says, 'look in the hole". And viola! My second ace of my life!
