  1. Hi, I recorded my 2nd hole-in-one on October 2, 2024. My husband and I left Augusta, GA, due to Hurricane Helene. When we left, we made sure to take our golf clubs. We played at Darlington Country Club because we enjoyed the course. On the 2nd day, I recorded a hole-in-one on Hole #9, 140 yards with a 3-iron and a Titleist Pro V1.

When I swung the club and heard the way the ball makes that sound when you hit it dead center, it flew high and landed on the green. The ball rolled toward the flag and looked like it was in front of the flag from where I was standing. I stopped watching, and my husband gave me a crazy look and said, "It went in the hole!" I said, "What!" and looked at the hole again, and the ball was gone. Apparently, it kept rolling, but I couldn't see very well, and when I thought the ball had stopped, it rolled toward the hole and went in. I said, "I can't believe it." We started laughing. My husband videoed me and I went "ham." He showed the Pro V1 in the hole, and at the end of the video, I said with my Titleist Pro V1 baby!

We saw the General Manager, who had become friendly with us. We told him our story the day before we left town after Hurricane Helene hit, and we told him how much we enjoyed his course. On the day of the hole-in-one, he saw us finishing the front 9 and asked how we did. We laughed and said, "I just got a hole-in-one on #9 at 140 yards with a 3 iron." The GM almost fell freaking out and said "no way" then got his camera to take my photo in front of the Country Club.

Later that evening, I looked on Facebook and saw my photo. We laughed again and read the caption Darlington Country used. The next day, our 3rd day, the GM was driving toward us on #1 and said the owner saw the post and wanted to take us out to eat dinner. There was a 4-some of older men coming up #18 green, when we were the GM, and one man looked at me and said, "Hey, you're the lady with the hole-in-one from yesterday." I replied, "Yes, I am." Then he said, "You are a celebrity around here." Being silly, I said, "Oh really, want to take a photo with me?" That man jumped out of the cart and got his phone out, and the others got a group photo with me. When we were trying to survive a hurricane, because we had no electricity or water, we couldn't do much, but we sure came out of the storm with a hole-in-one, and we made the best of it.
