I would contact the Scotty Cameron Customer Service Department at (800) 214-0213. They would most likely be the folks that can answer this mystery or Scotty himself. Send it to the experts.

Update, I contacted Scotty shop and sent pics. He said based on pictures it looks like one of theirs but would say for sure. Nice guy but not much help. He did confirm that engraving at that time was not done in-house. I asked if I could send it in to be verified. He said I could for $95 or so but they would not give me any information on the club since it is not a completed club…

Definitely looks like it to me. As Chuck says, worth contacting Scotty Cameron customer service to see if they can shed any light on it.

They’re pretty adamant that they don’t accept putters with modifications from an original. Not sure if that includes non-SC grips, but anything else is rejected. Including a lack of a shaft.

I’ve not used the Custom shop for a while since they hiked their prices, with shipping and import duties, it’s cheaper for me to buy a new putter,
When I did I often sent in just the heads of my putters as I was going for a full refurb with a new shaft and it was cheaper to send a smaller package to the states.
If you opted for a full refurbish job on that it would be interred to see how it came back?

I think it would be worth sending the putter to the custom shop to get it authenticated. If it turns out to be a Scotty putter head then you can have a shaft installed in it and have a cool putter to use.

Yes that was my initial intent. However the custom shop told me even though it appears to be a Scotty, they would not be able to authenticate it because it is not a complete putter.

What a find. This is interesting. Sucks that they can't identify it for you. Could be really cool to put together get in the bag!
