Kevin,
I have a lightweight cart bag and have no trouble. Whatever you are putting in the side pockets may be giving you some problems, but my bag seems to fit nicely. I carry 8 gloves, rule book, several small items on the left side along with several energy bars and one or two small bottles of water. And on the right, tees in the upper right pocket, first aid kit, portable windshield, windbreaker and spare hat. Front pockets have more tees in the upper one and about 25 ProV1x balls in the lower. I have to use a cart because I have a bad foot now and can't walk the course any more.

It sounds like you might have bought one of last years bags. All of the newer bags from this year will fit in the golf cars thanks to a redesigned stand mechanism.

It's hard to blame the bag manufacturer when the cart manufacturers are constantly changing the bag well, and of course there is no standard between manufacturers.
Of course the constantly changing bag wells could be a conspiracy to force people to keep buying new bags.
