Hello fellow TT members, I was wondering if anyone has tried to set their club opposite to what the guide is recommending and got the results they were looking for. Example if you are LH and looking to increase a draw ball flight one would set it for D2, A2 ,D3 or A3 but by going to the opposite side of the chart C1,B1,C4 or B4 got the results one was looking for. Does one have to add weight as well ?

I thought there were printable PDFs on the 910 web page for both RH and LH settings.  If you're just talking about playing around with the settings, then yes, I've done that too.  If you can play around with the settings, then why not. :)

There are actually printed charts on Titleist.com for both Left and Right handed adjustments. I can say that during fittings, I follow the charts and have had very good results wit hboth left and right handed players. Although I have not tried it, I would guess that you would get very mixed results if you did the opposite of the charts. If you got your desired effect for an opposite adjustment, I would think that you are manipulating your swing between adjustments. What I find the hardest thing when doing fittings is to get the person I am fitting to not look at the settings, the shaft or the loft of the clubhead when I give it to them. I want them to make good swings and trust that the club adjustments are going to make a difference. I have had people want an extra-stiff, 8.5° driver but with a proper fitting they actually end up hitting a 10.5° with a regular shaft much straighter with a better launch angle and with more consistancy.

I played with mine and moved it down to 9.75.  (it's a 10.5 with Rip Stiff).  Didn't look so hot and changed it back.  My ball flight decreased so much that the distance was diminshed greatly.

Get fitted and trust them (i'm hitting the setting the Titleist rep fitted me for, A-2)!

I have tried it as well Lefty. I am right handed and have a natural fade (slice). But I usually would just do it in the driving range when I practice. I keep it on the standard setting when I play.

I've set the Surefit System to the 'more fade' setting and I would get a straighter flight compared to a 'draw setting'. My theory is that since I have a out-to-in swing path, my clubface is facing the left side upon impact which gives it more sidespin (ball spinning clockwise/ left-to-right). Putting the driver on a more open setting  will help in making the clubface to be square upon impact, giving it less sidespin. I still have to spend more time in the range to find my setting, but this past season I always played on A1 setting and I've managed to play some good rounds.

But overall, I believe getting lessons is the best way to help your game...
