    Stretches, water, and then short irons and straight to the putting green.

    One bad poke with mid/long iron or driver will totally get in my head.

    stretching the back, shoulders and hamstrings, then to wedge swings. Usually a mid iron (say 6 or 7), then on to 3 wood. Wind down with a few add'l wedges. Putting green before the 1st tee.

    If I'm playing a round, my warm-up is simple. My stretching is done just before I leave the house. I live a minute from the first tee. I putt 5 or 6 balls to find speed of the green uphill and downhill. Then Orange Whip a bit before starting with a 54* wedge where I will chip and pitch 7 or 8 to different landing targets. Then 2 or 3 full 54* shots to targets. Then an 8 or 9 iron for another 2 or 3. Orange Whip again, then hit 3 or 4 drives. Then off to the first tee with driver ALWAYS the last swing feeling I make, so tempo is still fresh.

    Stretch, wedge, 7i, hybrid, driver, then chips and putts. Then a little gratitude for the opportunity to get out amongst friends and enjoying a morning or afternoon playing a great game.

    I always start with a 7 Iron. Then I'll move to wedges then hit driver, fairway and hybrids. If I have time to hit some more wedges/chips in a short game area I'll do that before finishing with putting. Start with mid range (8-10 ft) then go long for gauging lag putting then finish with 2-3 footers.

  6. Stretch at home
    At course practice area
    -bunker shots. Hitting short med and long shots. 12 balls.
    -20-40 yds pitch shots. 6 balls
    -chipping. 3 balls hitting low,med,high shots from around the green to the flag. 12 ball's.
    -putting. Long putts first for feel. Short putts for aim. #putts depends on how it feels.
    -range. Wedge, 6I, Hybrids, 3wood. Range too short for driver.
    Finishing with club required on 1st tee. 3 ball's per club.

    All in all about 1hr once I arrive at the course.

    I like to hit about 30 balls on the range. Start by stretching the arms and back then hamstrings and quads. 5 shots each with:

    1) (9 iron / PW),
    2) (7 iron / 8 iron),
    3) (5 iron / 6 iron),
    4) (3 iron / 4 iron),
    5) (3 wood)
    6) (Driver)

    I alternate which irons I use.

    Then I head to putting green, 5 putts each from:

    1) 3 feet
    2) 6 feet
    3) 10 feet
    4) 20 feet
    5) 30 feet

    Chip a couple from varying distances, low to high (bump and runs, mid flight, a couple flop shots).

    Then I putt 5 more from 3 feet, focus on making all 5 and then I run to the tee box. :)

    It really depends on the course logistics; if the range, chipping green and putting green are close together, then some of each. But at a minimum, I start on the range with 8 short pitch shots with sand wedge, 8 full sand wedges, 8 8-Irons, 8 4-irons, 5 19H, 8 drivers, 8 PW, 5 with 1st tee club.

    I like to try and get to the range early and do some light stretching and make a few swings with 2 wedges to really warm-up, while using a "heavier" club. Then hit some wedges and a few mid-irons and a few drivers and then end back with a few wedges. Off to the putting green before I tee off.
  11. Usually for "warmup " before I go to the first tee, I hit about 30 balls and stretch while warming up. I start with the sand wedge, then 8 iron, 5 iron , 5 wood , and driver and finish the last few balls with the wedge for feel. I go the the putting green hit a few chips and putts and head to the first tee.
  12. As I’m getting older, stretching is more and more important before hitting any balls. Been thinking of switching the warmup routine and starting with some easy driver shots, then working down and finishing with driver. There are days where I’ll work through the bag and don’t get in sync until I pull the driver, then everything back down works well.

    The course I play most often has a short driving range, so after some stretches, I typically hit balls starting with PW, 8i, 6i and then back to my 52, 56 & 60, both full swings and pitches. My approach on the opening hole is usually with my 56, so I’ll spend a little more time with that playing the shot in my mind.

    Then off to the practice green.

    54 deg., 7 or 8 Iron, 25 deg Hybrid and Driver. 5 swings per club then over to the putting green for a dozen putts. If I I'm running late, It's PW and Driver and off to the 1st tee.

    Warm up starts wit 3 foot puts then 6 and the a longerput toget a feel.
    Before teeing off stretches.

    An hour or two before I play a round, I start off with an Aleeve, LOL! (Seriously) Then get my large bucket of balls and do a few stretching exercises similar to Miguel Angel Jimenez. (They do work) I then start with an easy swing using a 56* wedge with about 5-8 balls per club, then a PW, 8, 6, 4 hybrid, fairway, and driver. Then work my way back down with fairway, 3 hybrid, 5, 7, 9, 56*. That way I am hitting every club in my bag. I then head to the putting/chipping green and use my 60* and putter!
  17. If it's a course I'm not familiar with I will putt a few long putts first to get an idea of green speed before moving to the practice tee. Wedges - irons - woods - simulate first tee shot - back to the putting green!
  18. I work from short to long. By starting on the putting green then progressing to wedges and up through the set. The final shots of my warm up routine are with the club I will be using off the the 1st tee. By using this method I know what to expect of my opening shot and how to select my target to start the round.

    Hi,

    Get to the course, put on my Footjoys, take a couple of ProV1's out of my bag, and head to the 1st tee.....sometimes I get there early enough to putt, but that's usually at 6am on Saturday, before our 6:30am first off tee time....

  20. Because I'm looking at 60 Y.O. in the front window, rotational stretching is very important. I will take 3 clubs to the range for warmup. PW or 9 iron, 5 iron, and the Driver. A small bucket (25 balls) max. Easy swings to start, focusing on swing plane and what my left arm is doing, working up to full swings (10 balls). 5 iron, same thing, maybe 10 balls. With the driver i'll go about 80% for most of them, again focusing on swing plane and the left arm. (no more than 5-8 with the driver) If I have time, a short session on the practice green and maybe a few chips. 40 min. MAX.
