  1. A few baseball swings, chips, putts, couple of irons, off and running

I have practice time, this can be 1-4hrs and it is wedges only. Start with LW close to pitching green, move back for SW, then practice a little from bunker. The longer session is longer with LW.

Before a round I will hit 3 found balls into the woods then tee it up.

I try to hit straight but normally get a little draw, so sometimes I have a practice round and I'll
try to hit fades(and I tend to use found balls for this also because they normally don't fade and end up in the woods left)

My last couple weeks have been playing the front so its mostly driver-wedge

Start with my lob wedge. Hit a 20 yard shot. Try to hit the next ball to where the first stopped. Try to carry the third to where the second stopped and so on for about 15-20 balls. Got this from Jordan Spieth. Then a few full shots with my irons. 2-5 3 Woods and 5-10 drivers. Roll a few long putts to get the speed of the greens followed by a bunch of 5 footers. Head to the tee ready to shoot a low score.

I do a quick stretch and then work my way down from driver to wedges, before hitting the practice putting green. If I have enough time, I like to hit my driver on the range one last time before I make it to the first tee. I feel as though starting with driver loosens up my back quicker than if I were to start with wedges or irons.

  6. I usually do not have time for the range so I stretch to get loose and then I putt. I start with long putts to get the speed down and then finish with 2 or 1 footers to hear the ball go in.
  7. I do the same routing unless time is really short. First before any swings, I do some stretching with clubs in my hands and a couple of things without. Just a few things to stretch before I start swinging. What I find interesting is that I NEVER see another golfer stretching on the driving range before they start hitting balls. I have been doing the same stretches and warm up routine for about 30 years and I never see another golfer stretch out on the range. I'm sure it happens but very rarely. So, do people do as a few said above and do all their stretching before they get to the course? Or do most golfers not do any stretching before a round? I started paying more attention to it and I swear I am the only one most days. Thoughts?

At my club there are a lot of good players and I noticed that they all start their warm-up by putting. So, I figured to do the same. Next, since thinking and golf are incongruous, I opt for stretching with an orange whip followed by 15 balls - 5 PW, 5 7irons and 5 driver. I try to hit a straight shot, fade and draw with each club.

Hi everyone - As summer continues to roll on, I've been trying to hone in my game. However, I tend to stick to the same routine: Hit the range, a few chips in a practice area (not nearly enough) and roll some putts before I head to the tee.

What's your practice routine before you arrive at the first tee? We want to know with the quick poll below.

AND as a bonus, if you respond to the quick poll below, you'll be entered for a chance to win a Team Titleist Prize Pack!

    Good luck, all!

Unfortunately my course does not have a practice range. We start early, so I sneak off to the 18th and practice some sand wedge pitches and follow up with some chipping and putting right before I tee off.

I always workout for 1 hour in my home gym early in the morning. Before teeing off I use a sub set of the gym stretching exercises before a few practise swings to loosen up. I try to slow the first tee off swing and avoid getting tight and over hitting.

Always go through my stretching routine before beginning with the wedges. Depending on the day, will go through my odd numbered clubs, or my even numbered clubs, working up to driver. Always end with putting.

The course I play most often has a short driving range, so after some stretches, I typically hit balls starting with PW, 8i, 6i and then back to my 52, 56 & 60, both full swings and pitches. My approach on the opening hole is usually with my 56, so I’ll spend a little more time with that playing the shot in my mind.

Then off to the practice green.
