Yesterday I received an email from Titleist to take a quick survey. I'm not sure how much details I can provide but I will say it was a brilliant survey and really enjoyed answering the questions. Love that they're looking into this..

Well done Titleist, #1 brand in golf!

I also received and tried to complete, but received a response that "This survey in not accepting additional responses at this time. Thank you!"

Sorry to be late to the party, but I was hoping to help.

I replied as well. This was one of the more thought out surveys I have taken in some time.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this!

I think they needed all the answers they got so far.

I responded to a survey this weekend as well and agree with the quality of the questions as well. And once again, I am impressed by Titleist’s interest and respect for the opinions of regular guys like me.

I answered the survey. Thought it was an important subject. Why does the USGA want to make the game harder for the average golfer?

Probably because they need more people in decision positions that don't play golf 3 times a week or more on private courses with caddies. Having a second person sign your card for handicap calculation doesn't work well if your time off from work doesn't coincide with people you might play with. For pace of play for "the rest of us", why does a white stake require going back to the original spot? The only difference from a red stake should be if it is outside the line, you have to take a penalty shot and relief no closer to the hole. You can't hit from out of bounds. Walking 150 yards to find a ball 18 inches OOB and walking back 150 yards to re-hit isn't fun. But you can be 18 inches in a hazard and drop if the ball is unplayable. Makes no sense.

IMO .... All of these rule changes should be in the interest of speeding up play.
