This past Saturday I was at Driving Range in Greensboro,NC,trying to gets some swings in amidst all the rain we have had. I don't always carry my Titleist Bag,I had switched out to my US Air Force Bag to carry for awhile. I was on the range for a little while just hitting and the next thing I know a young boy around 11 or 12 walked up to me and asked,Where you in the Air Force? I said yes,I was in The Gulf War in 1990.He said,I appreciate you serving Our Country and I have an uncle who is in the Air Force who is in Wyoming at the current time. I continued the conversation with his dad and we talked about his brother serving. The young boys dad said his son was nervous about talking to me and was afraid to interrupt me. I told him,no worries, all is good,I needed a break any way.
I always carry something in my bag from my Military Days and I had a Folds of Honor Challenge Coin and Hat Pin with me, so I passed them on to this young man. Whenever you give a person a challenge coin, you always present it with honor and a short story behind it. It's a honor to continue to serve my country in little ways such as this and continue to grow the game of golf with young men and women #TeamTitleist #FoldsOfHonor
