I know we have enough locals to at least have a group round of golf in the area. Don’t know if Cathi or another one of the local Titleist staff would be interested in getting us a block of tee times somewhere? I don’t have the time or contacts to organize but would play, especially if it was on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Hey guys! We don't currently have any West Coast events planned, but that doesn't mean we won't in 2019! We'd love to help support if you'd like to host an event earlier this year. Just let me know! As you probably saw, there are some guys getting together in NC and they put that event together themselves.

Any plans for a TT event in the Cleveland area? And if not, if I organize it myself, can TT provide any swag for the event at my course? Just a thought...I can only hope we would have a legit TT event in Northeastern Ohio....

Scott Lawler and myself are discussing putting something together in the region of SoCal in the fall....more to come. Looking at bringing together Scotty Cameron enthusiasts and Team Titleist Community members for a great day!

Sounds good, I am willing to help coordinate, especially since my work schedule lightens up a bit after the summer and since I am currently stationed in San Diego for the next couple years. Any place in particular you are looking at?

There was a guy I met at last year's TTI but i can't remember his name (lots of things i can't remember heading into my 60's). He works at Arrowood GC in Oceanside. He might be a good POC to get us the 10-20 spots we would need to have a spring golf day out there. Nice course, played it the last two years for our company's Wounder Warrior fundraiser.

I'm hoping to see a TT West coast event in 2019. Keep my fingers crossed. San Diego would be a great place to have it, I have not played there yet

Like Abby said, myself and Gary Boykin organized one for all the TT people in NC. All we did was start an event on the facebook page and invite everyone that was interested. I called around to courses in the area to see who would be willing to accommodate us. You guys should do the same!

ADeLucia (Austin) and I put one together in a relatively short time. Since lead time for me was short, I had to make it a short notice event. I would have liked to have a month lead time, and I believe we would have had more attendees, but we have 12 going to play Tobacco Road Golf Club next Saturday.

If you want to plan an event, I highly recommend it. It wasn't that difficult between the 2 of us.

Thanks to Abby and TT for their support and blessings on allowing us to use the TT name for our event.

I think this is a great idea. I would be down for a golf get together. It would need to be on a weekend day for me to be able to attend.

Okay folks, i will reach out to a contact at one of the better San Diego area courses and see if we can get something lined up for a Saturday or Sunday in March. Probably 24 spots (6 groups). More info to come when i hear back...

That's great that you are putting in the effort to make this happen. I really hope that more people start local events. It was truly amazing to see the group that we put together interact as if we had been golfing with each other for years.

I should have realized, my POC is at the PGA Show in Orlando this week. He will get back to me, probably next week to see if we can work out a deal that fits their schedule and our budgets. If not, i have a couple of other options in work. I should be able to post an update later next week.

We put together our own event here in North Carolina and it went very well. I would get on the Team Titleist Facebook page and start putting feelers out.We had ours together in about 3 weeks.

I know it is not San Diego, but I do have some connections at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine and could probably pull something off as well.

Okay folks, here's the big news... We have 24 spots for the San Diego Team Titleist Play Day! The Grand at Del Mar has agreed to host us. It will be Sunday, March 10th (Daylight Savings Day). First tee times at 11:00AM but the range will be open and we hope to have Titleist doing club demos so get there early. Normal fees are $250 but we have negotiated a $175 rate for this event. The rate includes range, carts, and a forecaddie. Tips for the forecaddie are not included. Those coming from out of town wanting to stay on the property should ask about a room at The Fairmont when making your reservation. Contact Erik Wilson to reserve your spot. That would be great. You, Rob Roth, and some of the other San Diego locals need to get in soon, while spots are available. I would expect some travelers that are sick of the cold and that haven't been able to game their new TS clubs or 2019 ProV's will be catching a weekend flight down to enjoy our hospitality. Price might seem a bit high but when you consider The Grand is in the top 5 public courses in the area and that Titleist has in the past has provided some welcome gifts, the value is much better. They provided a dozen ProV's and a TT hat to the group in North Carolina. That's $80 worth of stuff, not to mention the social interaction with other TT members, which is priceless.

I stopped by The Grand yesterday afternoon. The course looks great right now. The fairways are green with over-seeded rye and the dormant Bermuda grass gives it that same look as the desert courses you were seeing on TV a couple of weeks ago. No aerification scheduled until well after our event. It should be in pristine condition for us. Tee times will start at 10:00am instead of 11:00am as earlier listed. More info to come as we get closer to the date. Should be a fantastic day.
