  1. Let me start by saying "Thanks" to Rick from Team Titleist for helping me out with an issue I was having with my TT account. I went on to explain to Rick that I joined TT in 2012 and that I got a bag tag early on,tested Titleist balls several times and that it was great being a member of Team Titleist.

During the conversation,I told him that over the past 5 years,I have had 3 deaths in the family,4 major surgeries including a knee revision back in April 2018. I told him,I am doing well after the knee revision but soon after,I developed Cluster Headaches,I had a headache everyday from May to December last year and I still have some, but not as bad. These headaches caused panic attacks and made me forgetful, very forgetful. I would forget everyday things, including logins and passwords, including my TT login. What I did was, I created another TT account and didn't realize it. This may sound kind of silly to some, but I was kind of distraught and sad at the same time about this, because of being unable to remember a simple thing. A problem I had most of last year.

Rick was very understanding and I am grateful. He offered his condolences and said,I hope you get back on the course soon. I told him,I have been playing some, but not a lot yet. He said, let me send you some balls to help you out.I said that wasn't really necessary,I just got some for Christmas, but he said wanted to. I got them yesterday, with the TT Logo on them, plus a lanyard, pivot tool and ball marker. I was taken aback by his generosity and short note. This means so much to me. I am thankful for Titleist and Team Titleist and how good you guys have been to me throughout the years

    Thank You Team Titleist.

Rick is one of the most easy going, compassionate, and very genuine people I have ever met in my life.
I have had the privilege of playing with Rick a few times over the last 5-8 years, and all I can say is that he is a "True Ambassador"! Not only for Titleist and the Acushnet brand, but the great game of golf.

If you ever get the opportunity to play a round with Rick, I guarantee you will have one of the most enjoyable rounds of your career, regardless of what the scores are.

Kudos to you for recognizing the efforts of the Team Titleist crew, especially Rick. I have to say, the traits I mention above are pretty much identical for the other TT crew who support this site, the brand, and all of us.

Gary - I hope that they get you back on the course soon. I am sure that these new TT items will serve as inspiration and motivation. What a nice gesture by Rick to send you the TT items. Rick is a class act all the way and embodies what a PGA Professional should strive to be.

Gary, first of all, my deepest sympathies, I hope 2019 will be a much better year for your family and you. Hopefully, those cluster headaches stop, so you can enjoy some rounds of golf.

That story is just one example of why the TT is the best golf community out there, Rick V, Cathi, Abby, and the whole team treat the community members like family, not just another account.
I tip my hat to Rick V and the rest of the team, you guys are awesome.

    Best Regards

Rick is the real deal for sure. Always considerate of TT members. Sorry for your losses Gary. I keep a notebook by my computer so I don't forget passwords. Enjoy those new TT gifts.

  10. I appreciate your condolences,Thank You. I have a notebook with logins and passwords, but the TT one of the ones I lost,as you could imagine,I felt kind of lost while looking for this. These headaches can make you feel like you have lost many things, even though they can be at your fingertips.

Rick was the one to greet me and get me signed in at my very first Team Titleist event at Pinehurst a few years ago. While I got there very late due to horrific rain on the drive down and they were ready to pack up registration, Rick made me feel like the most important person that arrived that day. He just has that very genuine (as Brian D says above) way about him.

But to be fair the entire TT staff is that way without exception. Can't wait to see them again in a couple months.

    Hope you get better soon!
  12. Hoping for a better 2019 for you Gary! Hopefully you can get out and enjoy a few rounds this year. Great job TT, you guys are all awesome.

I will add that Rick is one of the good ones. At each of the TT Invitationals I have attended, he has always taken the time to chat with me. Also, l'm looking forward to seeing you Saturday at our Raleigh TT event at Tobacco Road GC. I'm sure those TT balls will find all the fairways and greens.

Here's to better health in 2019.
