  1. I have 2018 ap1's 5-pw then 54 & 60 wedge's. I'm starting now to find I am missing short or too long depending on which club I use.

I'm thinking a 48 SM7 would fit this gap nicely what do you think?

If your PW is 43 then you could use a 48 to help fill the gap.

That’s an 11 degree gap from 43 to 54 degrees. Either a 48 or 50 degree gap wedge or an AP1 W(1) (48 degrees). There’s prior discussions on whether to use a wedge or iron to fill that gap. In part on how much you would use it for full swings

I added a AP1 W 48 degree iron when I recently bought a new set of AP1s after that I added SM7 52, 56 and 60, all because my Titleist Thursday fitter advised the time had come for senior shafts, but hey the game just got a whole lot easier and more enjoyable for me.

  5. I have the AP1’s and ended up getting a Vokey SM7 48* to fill gap between PW and 54* sand wedge.

    I would get the AP1 W-Wedge. 48 degrees
  7. Yeah 48 is the next club down from the pw in the ap1 but I'm struggling to find one with the same shaft so I'm thinking maybe just get an SM7.

I added a Vokey 48 as my PW and highly recommend it for everyone.

That's just it though the pw in the ap1 is so strong at 43 to change it out for a 48 would be crazy.

I need the 48 for the gap wedge so then it would be 43 48 54 60 and I reckon 4 wedge's is what everyone should have. I always thought I was golden with just the 3 wedges I had but I'm starting to realise I'm not.

I have the same AP1s. I did put in the AP1 48 and 53 wedges, took out the 52 and 56 SM 7s and kept the 60 M grind for different finesse shots. Works great! Good luck
  11. Here's my solution from Titleist.

    48 degree vokey.

Got it stamped hoping to hit more dancefloors because of this wedge.

I have the 716 AP1s and have replaced the W(48 degree) with a Vokey 48 and feel like I have a bit more control and those shots now

    I play the ap1 48 and 53. I only use my 58 bent to 57 sm7 for bunker play!
  15. I totally get the reason for getting the ap1 wedges as with the irons they inspire confidence. I've been looking but never saw any with the same shafts as mine.

I just love the look of the SM7 and to me it inspires confidence behind the ball.

    Each to there own.
