To all fellow TT members in FL and along the U.S. Southeast coast, stay safe and hang tough while Dorian does his thing. Playing on Friday then the club is closing down for the duration and beyond to clean up the mess Dorian will leave behind.

Got a Myrtle Beach trip in 8 weeks with a group of 16. Hoping it doesn't hit there or anywhere else along the coast. Hoping those pressure areas push it further out to sea. Fingers Crossed

Turned out to be a big bust for us. But boy did they get smashed in the Bahamas, hope all the TT members down there are good.

GA and the Carolinas still at risk, be safe all.

If you have the chance, hit a couple drives in the hurricane..... that's the only time I can break 300 yards!

Was in Knoxville for my 55th reunion and decided Sunday to come home early, thank goodness. The governor closed I-26 eastbound to get folks out early on Labor Day. Early preparation. We are sitting it out, supposed to be here tonight and Thursday. According to forecast winds around 60 mph gusts. We are at sea level in downtown Charleston and we are having king tides now so extreme flooding is expected. Yard prepared as are we physically and mentally. We live at the highest point in Mt Pleasant, 12 feet above sea level...but across inter-coastal waterway then Sullivan's Island then the Atlantic Ocean. Winds are our main concern. Hugo took out 15 pine trees and only replanted two. Thinking about all our friends along the coast as Dorian makes his trek. Should be out of here and some nice weather here Friday and Saturday. Supposed to leave on cruise for Bermuda on Saturday based on flooding downtown at the pier area. My wife works for the cruise line and will not leave my car in that parking lot outside. We have another opportunity the end of October. Hakuna Matata....... =)

Praying for the folks in the path, we flew out of Charleston yesterday before they closed the airport after playing The Ocean Course and Wild Dunes for Labor Day weekend. Beautiful area, hope the hurricane pushes further off the coast!

Be thankful you got to play and were able to get out. Some courses closed due to mandatory evacuation on Labor Day. Light rain today and appreciate the concern. Phones charged and lots of portable lights just in case. Hoping it stays out in the gulf stream. Glad you enjoyed our beautiful area. We love it here. Lived in Midwest City once upon a time when in the USAF (1968) and had a clothing store in Tulsa in the late 70's when I was a District Manager with Levi's.

Hope you didn't get any flooding in Mt. Pleasant! We were able to get The Ocean Course in on Friday (it kicked my butt) and then Wild Dunes let us play the Links course on Monday even after the Evac warning. I did ok on the front, but had a personal best 37 on the back. Played the last 10 holes +2 which was also personal best stretch. Hope the flooding in the area wasn't bad and we can go back again soon!

Chuck, hope all comes through well. Smart move to stay away. I've got a friend further inland in Summerville North of Charleston, hope all works out well for him too. Looks like your community has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 30 years. Hopefully for the good, with folks who love Southern Hospitality and way of life, and not those trying to change it. God Bless

Indications are it will be thru here by mid day. Off the coast about 42 miles heading north. Rain, wind and flooding. 6-8 inches have dropped so far and expecting the same amount before it's over. Fortunately, flooding is not an issue in my neighborhood. Downtown Charleston closed due to flooding. ALL bridges closed around the area. Wind gust up the 50 pm at present. Busy day tomorrow cleaning up leaves and broken limbs. Hugo cleaned my yard of 15 pine trees when he hit here years ago. Still have electricity and Comcast still working. 80,000 power outages in Charleston county. 9 am.

Watching as this unfolds and hoping everyone is safe and the storm not as ugly as it looks. Went through a bunch of them in South Florida before retirement and feel for those in harms way.
