  1. How early is too early? It was dark when i turned up last Sunday but the didn't stop me having a little putting practice.

Days in the U.K are starting to get shorter again so squeezing golf gets more and more difficult.

I try and get to the course 45-60minutes before tee time. If I have not played in 2-3 weeks, little earlier.
  3. With three kids under the age of six, I'm teeing off no later than 6:15am.

I arrive minutes before my 11:24 tee time. No warm ups or putting. I go right to the first tee, do a brief stretching routine and I'm off. I prefer to play when the dew has evaporated.

I usaully get to the course with in and 1 before my tee time, so I can hit the range and work on loosing up and getting muscle in motion. Then head over to the putting green and put for a couple of minutes then head on out.

1 hour before tee time. Stretch, putt, chip & relax before teeing off. Doesn't matter when the tee time is. Still 1 hour

Our senior men's league normally begins teeing off at 8am. You have to be there by 730am get in a group to play in that days matches. I try to be there by 715am so I can warm up. We normally have 8 to 10 groups and play on M/W/F.
We have around 75+ members in our league.

At least 45 minutes prior. I have to stretch out a bit and hit some balls to get a rhythm going and warm up. I then like to hit some putts and get a beer.

45 mins to an hour. Putt, Chip - some stretching. 10-15 mins on the range and away we go.

Generally about an hour before my tee time ... apply sunscreen, head to the range to stretch and hit 20-30 balls, finish on the practice green.

Depends if its a weeknight round or a weekend round. On the weekend, 45 minutes to an hour before. On a weeknight that isn't a weeknight tournament I just head to the first tee after grabbing a drink from the bar and making sure my clubs are on the cart.

I never seem to get to the course early enough... pay, grab a cart, back to the lot, load up bags, slap on the sunscreen, throw on the shoes, head to the tee. Some places check with the starter, others just tee it up! Rarely putt, even more rarely hit the range.

I'm like Jim C, one hour or so, dozen and a half balls to loosen up, then the practice green with some chips from the rough, some from the fringe, then long, short and downhill putts. My partner is like Eric. 8:20 tee time, as the first guy is putting the peg in the ground to tee off, he shows up on the back of the tee. Few toe touches, few swings, and off the the races. Couldn't do it.

I try to get there at least 45 minutes before tee time if the course has a Range.. if not 1/2 hour is plenty because all I can do is chip and putt...

If I'm working that day, 4:30. If I'm playing, 5:00. Open up the office, get the crew going. Change my shoes, putt for a little while, kibitzing with the rest of the staff and then head out. After 24 years, I still love just being at the course!!
    Play Well,
    Steve S.
