Apparently, the CDC has reversed itself, again, regarding the transmission of COVID-19, particularly as it relates to surface contamination.Person to person contact remains the primary transmission source, not contact surfaces (such as flagsticks or cups) as the CDC previously stated. With that said, I'm hoping we're moving in the direction of putting the cup back where it belongs, not in a "raised state" as it is now.
I know it's early in the game, and we're all happy to be back (especially my fellow Massachusetts players;last state in the nation to open for play-thank you very much) but with respect to these recent findings, I'm wondering if the USGA has weighed in on this issue, along with individual state golf associations and state governments, who ultimately set the guidelines for play.
So for anyone in TT nation on the forefront of this issue, given the CDC's reversal, are we moving toward the cup being placed in its normal position sooner rather than later?
Thank you
