I live in Indiana and play until it closes down, but we don't have any great indoor facilities close. What does the Titleist Community do during your winter months?
DenoNew Jersey
Same here in NJ. Shovelling snow mostly. Every few weeks, I'll chip some plastic balls into the laundry basket, putt for an hour, and once in a blue moon when the weather is sunny and warm enough sneak in 9 holes. Pretty much looking for opportunities to practice the short game. Sometimes the long winter wait helps my focus. Occasional trips to Florida are in order. I'll also hit some flop shots off my deck and pick 'em up when the snow melts.

a lot of things you could do over the winter months and, you can do them at your house. You can work on your stance and grip. Get some almost golf balls (practice golf balls) and work on your chip shots maybe down a hallway or try to make small chips shots over an object. Work on your putting stroke, again down a hallway or on a roll out practice green. I also have a medicus I use to keep my swing in check. These are just a few things you can work on at the house during the down time. Even if you only take 10 - 15 minuts a day it will help in the long run.

This is one of the reasons why I have a place in SC. Golf year-round. However, OH is my home. I know what you're talking about. Trust me. Fortunately though, we had a few indoor ranges, or at least ranges with heaters. I've played golf in all sorts of weather, and absolutely LOVE every element Mother Nature throws at me. That's just golf.
If you're stuck inside, there's still plenty that you can do! Check your positions in a mirror. I'll chip/putt some balls (REAL golf balls) inside. Luckily for me, I have a cat and 2 dogs that are my ball retrievers. Do some research. Watch Tour player's swings online, then, take TONS of notes. Read. Take notes. Then, when the warmer weather does hop around, take those notes with you to the range/course and work on stuff.
I totally agree James. Any time spent with club in hand will reap rewards in the spring. Practice with a purpose.

Try and get a TDY to a place thats a lot warmer than NJ like Hawaii or Az. If I cant do that I can always deploy, I can work on my sand game there....

Since I live in Central Florida I can pretty much play year round, however, this year once the time changes I plan to work hard on my physical fitness...I had shoulder surgery in January of 2010 and finally feel like I can work out again...I really feel like I need to get back in the gym and build a good solid physical base for next golf season...My plan for 2011 is to play the Golf Channel AM Tour and hopefully play some FSGA tournaments later in the year.

Referee hockey and hit balls in the dome driving ranges or will play if there is no snow on the ground
Play with a group that will go out no matter how cold as long as there is no snow...

Does anyone play Wii golf during window months? Better yet, is the swing/distance/trajectory feedback we get with the Wii(or any game console) accurate enough to be considered "practice"?
HotsauceGeorgetown MA
I play hockey and ski mostly. I'll also hit the gym a little harder.
This will be my first winter in Boston and the course I play is open till it snows. I think the driving range down the street is open (it's sort of covered)
I'll work on putting on the carpet, and rock out on some golf on the Wii once the winter really hits. I'll also crush a few into the net in the yard if it's not snowing.
I like the idea of whacking around some practice balls indoors.

I play tiger woods 11 on wii golf..its actually pretty close if i want to draw or fade the ball i can and its a good way to practice my swing when i cant do anything else

I like to ski when i have the time. But ill work a lot with my grip and getting my swing on plane. In the winter I spend a lot of time in the gym. I like to visit the indoor heated driving range that hits to the outside as much as i can. Ill plan a trip to AZ and golf for a week in the scottsdale area.

I live in southern Oregon and we can play for 11 months of the year as a matter of fact we could play the ball down at my club 10 months of the year. January and the first part of Feb are the worst time here...got to work sometime I guess...

Oklahoma is playable most of the year, maybe a solid month of bad weather (cold) But we might have to layer up for some cold sunny days.

I regularly swing the momentus driver/iron clubs at half speed and slow motion . I practice putting indoors with an emphasis on
the stroke and try to hit all balls the same distance at each other . For the mental part of the game I regularly play WGT online.
I also try short chips . The indoor domes are fine but I keep hitting the ceiling a lot.
