Why does it take forever to see a post or a new topic?

What are they trying to hide from us? When you post something it should be instantly posted for all to see, Not a day later when the fire in your belly has gone out. Come on we are big boys and can handle a discussion forum without Mod's having to read and re read every post. They have software to remove obscene language. C'mon Titleist let us talk!

    Hi Brent,

Thanks for the feedback on the site.  I can assure you that we are not trying to hide anything from our loyal Team Titleist members but there are a number of factors that come into play regarding the need to moderate posts and blog comments.

While we do have technology that helps filter obscenities from posts, there are many alternate “short hand” spellings of different terms, inappropriate images, links and other forms of questionable content that could unfortunately make it through the filter and result in an undesirable outcome.

Our goal from day one has been to make Team Titleist an informative, fun and enjoyable destination for Titleist loyalists and avid golfers to connect, share and discuss the great game of golf. At this point in time, we feel that the moderation efforts we have in place help us deliver on that promise.

We do make a concerted effort to ensure that posts are posted as quickly as possible and do our best to limit the time between when a member submits a post and when it is live.  We are continually looking into potential ways to even further expedite this process and we are committed to making Team Titleist a great experience for all.

Again, we really appreciate your feedback and look forward to future suggestions from the community on how we can continue to enhance the site.

    Thanks a lot,
    Mike

P.S. We’ve already started working on some enhancements, based on direct input from Team Titleist, that we will roll-out in the New Year. We’re really excited for what’s around the corner and we think you will be too.

Kudos to you TT.  When it comes down to it this is a place for Titleist fans to interact with one another and the company simultaneously.  There's several other golf forums in existence that are unmonitored, uncensored, unrestricted, and not tied to any particular company.  I think it speaks volumes that Titileist even invests the time, energy, and money to create this form.

It's great that when I ask a question it's answered by someone who actually works for the company.  I've learned a lot, tested prototype balls, provided input on surveys, and I'm going to get Tour Fitted next week.  I wouldn't have done any of this if I didn't find out about this site.  For Acushnet Golf, it strengthens the bond between Company and Customer, and allows them to get candid feedback directly from the Consumer.  The definition of mutually beneficial IMO.

I couldn't be happier with Team Titleist.  If I could post from my I Touch, this would turn from a hobby to a full blown addiction.

I just appreciate that Titleist takes the time to actually interact with it's customers, and provides us a forum to interact with one another.

Great site, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

I guess I am just used to the instant type responses from forums. I have gone to a few locale news websites that have had forums and although you do get the occasional goof ball most are either funny or informative.

My post on the new balls has not come out yet prolly when the balls hit the market.

Since this fourm is on the companys website, there needs to be that kind of moderation. Yeah it takes awhile for your stuff to get posted but it usually gets answered correctly and even by people who work for titleist. So for titleist to even put in the time to look at every post is amazing. I think they are doing a great job and i can't wait to see what the future holds for this fourm.

    Mike,

Looking forward to the enhancements coming down the road.  I, for one, don't mind a delay from reply to actual posting since the responses are coming straight from Titleist or from those with educated opinions.  Looking forward to more interaction with the forums and sites.

I have nothing against Mod's but why has my response to testing the new balls ever showed up?

Could it be I was slightly objectionable?

Brent, I doubt that, I haven't had anything good to say about the balls I tested, and mine have been posted.

The moderation helps in the long run.

I would think you would get a message sent to you if something you posted was objectionable.

One suggestion would be to add a chat room that is live where people can vent. It's harder to moderate, but some questions can be answered there.

THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF TALK ABOUT THIS SUBJECT FOR QUITE A FEW DAYS NOW!  IT SEEMS THERE IS A LOT OF TITLEIST TEAM MEMBERS WHO WHAT TO CHAT OR MAKE COMMENTS,  WHY DON'T ALL WHO FEEL THIS WAY START A FACE BOOK SITE FOR ALL TITLEIST TEAM MEMBERS WHO WANT FAST POSTINGS, AND THE PEOPLE AT TITLEIST CAN AS TIME GIVES THEM, CAN ANSWER ANY POSTS THEY FEEL THEY NEED TO. PEOPLE CAN STILL MAKE POSTS ON THE TEAM TITLEIST WEB SITE BUT WILL STILL HAVE TO HAVE THEM REVIEWED. WOULD THIS SOLVE ALL QUESTIONS??

brent, ever since i i went to a golf show back in 1984 where titleist reps where there showing their new clubs and balls i noticed that titleist was a first class company, with their white sports jackets and doctor looking reps i knew they were the class of golf companies. i'm not sucking up but stating a fact. why not be carefull with something that has your name and rep on it!!!

I for one really appreciate the moderation. One of the main reasons I visit this site instead of others is because of the polite and positive posts. So many of the forums out there get so nasty it really takes the enjoyment out of reading the posts for me. I think Titleist still does a nice job of allowing people to get their viewpoint across while keeping it clean and friendly. I am really proud to be a Team Titleist member and am glad I dont have to be embarrased by petty bickering. Thanks guys.

  13. I too am really looking forward to the enhancements. Team Titleist is already top notch.
