The final Major championship of the year. Can you believe it?

And with 6 of this year’s Majors won by players trusting at least one piece of Titleist equipment (including a Titleist golf ball sweep for the men’s Majors), Team Titleist is looking to make Major history one last time in 2022.

This week, our team has been on-site at the AIG Women’s Open in North Berwick, Scotland to see how the world’s best are preparing for a final test at Muirfield. From tips for playing in the wind, to seeing how players are adjusting their setups for links golf, join us inside the ropes and in wishing Team Titleist the best of luck this week!

“Do I have enough club? Will this balloon in the air?”.

We’ve all been there – a 20 MPH headwind straight into your face as you’re about to hit your approach shot. Luckily, we were able to tap into the vast knowledge and experience of Titleist golf ball loyalist Lydia Ko on the best way to flight your golf ball through the wind.

Ko, currently ranked 4th in the world and holding eight, top-10 finishes this year alone, made the move to the 2021 Pro V1x from the Pro V1x Left Dash at the beginning of the year, noting “I think [the Pro V1x] is a really good balance for me around the greens with short game - being able to spin it - also in the long game, it puts me in the right range between 2000-2500 rpm’s for driver spin and then it works out well for my irons as well.”

Next up, we ran into Brand Ambassador So Yeon Ryu preparing on the range at Muirfield, striping her new TSR3 driver.

Ahead of the Evian Championship earlier this month, So Yeon made the switch to new #TSR metals after seeing ball speed gains and increased accuracy with the new models.

Speaking of equipment changes, we met up with Brand Ambassador Nelly Korda as she played her final 9 holes of practice before tournament play. Like many players this week, Nelly swapped her hybrid for a 4-iron this week to better be able to control her Pro V1 in the elements that links golf brings.

Hear from Nelly on this setup change and more on how she’s been preparing for the final Major test of 2022.

Always a pleasure to see the woman giving insight to their games & their equipment choices. Also I always enjoy Emily's Look inside the ropes posts as they are so informational & sometimes give great insight to what a golfer needs to think or do while on the course or range.

    Thanks Emily for the post,
