Welcome to Team Titleist. A good place to talk about your exploits. Think you might have found you your niche at our ripe young age. Turned 76 Saturday and shot 88 today. Wish I could hit the low 80's again. Took up the game in 1984. If you get a lesson or too you might be shooting in the 70's. Have not had time to develope bad habits like most of us. Just sayin'. I think you may be a natural, shooting 82 after 4 rounds is very impressive.

I believe the OP may have played approximately 16 rounds ("playing once a week for 4 months"). I do agree with you, a stat like that is very very impressive. At that clip, the OP could be a looking at the Champions Tour.

Great job RHouseman. Very inspiring. If you aren't, try tracking how many putts per round, and GIR's. And see where your course management is preventing you from going even lower. I'm getting back into the sport after a long a layoff. Can't wait to start taking lessons again, and building towards your benchmark. Currently sitting at 23 hanpicap, hopefully I can cut that in half. Keep up the good work.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the low scores already. The best description I have heard about golf is" I hate golf, I quit golf , I can't wait to play tomorrow".Kinda sums up the game. Keep it light and have fun.
