Its been a while since i've been on, but I was recently hit in the head by Jimmy Walker's ball at the Sony Open and I was wondering if anyone nows who I can contact to get some footage that was taped. I have already tried to contact Golf Central, but they are not responding.

Ouch!   I don't think you'll have much luck getting the footage.  Did you at least get an apology or autographed ball.  Usually that is common when a spectator is beaned.

Sorry to hear about that.   What were the details?  Did you get hit by a tee shot?  Hope you're okay.

Ouch!!!  I hit a playing partner in high school (+-30 yrs ago).  He teed off first, hit a bad shot and got mad and started walking to his ball before the rest of us teed off.  We warn him, but he keeps going.....

Wow, I remember this like it was yesterday.  Scared me to death!!!

I hit this low pull hook that catches him on the right upper forehead about 100 yds down the left rough.  He falls like a sack of potatoes.  I thought I killed him.  By the time we get to him he has gotten up and has this huge knot on his head, but no blood.  He shakes it off like a man and keeps playing.

You know boys...  His shot kept me from going OB, and my ball actually ended up in the frwy, so by the end of the hole and the rest of the round we've started calling him Stroke Saver.  Pretty funny looking back, but dang scarey at the time.

I guess there were no lasting effects.  He's now the team Dr for some NBA team.

Keep in mind, this was 30 yrs ago w/ persimmon.  A metal wood probably would have killed him.

  5. First off, I hope that you're OK. I'm with Deno on this one. It'll be very hard to find ANY footage, any where.

I remember, at the Memorial one year...a certain, former world #1 hit a pretty bad tee shot...the ball hit the spectator and...it was pretty bad. Luckily, the person was OK. The player stayed there with the person until the medics came, signed a glove/ball etc. and even offered on the spot to take care of their medical bill(s).

    Be careful out there people!

Thanks, for the comments. Well before I was hit I was telling myself that if one of these Pro's shank it, they are going to take someone out. Jimmy hit his second shot and every in the stands around me including myself was yelling, "its coming this way," I then told my girlfriend to duck I put my arm over her, then I heard someone yell out, it's coming right there then crack off my head into green side bunker. Before his third shot he came over apologized and gave me a signed glove. He made his up and down for birdie, after he pulled the ball from the hole he waved to the fans then pointed over at me. My head saved him a stroke or two. he came in solo fourth. Oh and I am assuming he didn't give me the ball because he was using a prototype.
