I think I would use something softer, iron could scratch the clubs and would make carrying my bag very heavy. Just my opinion. Have a nice day.

Only time I've used them are when my clubs are being shipped or they are in a travel bag and flying with me.

Only when traveling. They all come off before the round and don’t go back on until I’m packing for the return flight.

A bath towel works better. Keeps them compact in the bag as well as the other clubs. Most have been doing this for years. Personally think they are a retail gimmick to make a quick buck for those who try to buy a golf game by changing clubs every time something comes out that guarantees it will improve their game. With respect. Just sayin. That is what keeps the golf business going.

For me personally, it would be a no but to each their own. If you like them that is good also.

One of golf's interesting discussions: iron covers, to use or not to use. I don't use them.
  13. I received a set of the neoprene iron covers for Christmas a few years ago. I have no desire to ever use them on the golf course, but I love them while travelling.

I use them because I have forged blades.

I will keep my thoughts private because I do not want to offend the iron cover users. In all seriousness, I love to clean my clubs after a round, and keep the looking new, but as stated above, I only use them when traveling…

First, anyone who makes fun of someone for using them is a d*** head and shouldn’t be on Team Titleist…That said.
To use them to protect your iron heads is pointless, as there is nothing that happens in transit that compares to the impact with the ground… however, I will use them if I’m walking with my Sunday bag to protect my wood shafts…especially if I have to run… for Transit, I would recommend 1/2” pipe insulating foam around your non-steel shafts..

I totally agree with Joel C. I remember being contacted in 2010 about the new website called Team Titleist where we could share our stories about all things Titleist. I was so excited. I've been a Titleist enthusiast and ambassador for over 60 years. I was invited to join the forum which was in its infancy and has blossomed into the great site that it is today with the undying enthusiasm, help, and support of Mike, Rick, and so many others. There are a few frequent posters who think this is a forum for their lame attempt at humor. Trust me. You are not funny. Your S.A. comments turn so many people off. I used to post all the time. But because of the constant inane feedback of those few, you'll see one of them in this post, I stopped posting. I've been a professional in the entertainment industry for almost 40 years. Leave the comedy and your snide, weak attempts of humor to the professionals.

@PRO V - to each his own I suppose. I quite enjoy the humor - not sure why this affects how often you post, but I guess I really don't need to either.

To the topic at hand though, I use them for travel but not day-to-day. For me this is really more about keeping the clubs clean and dry (especially raw wedges) and the hassle of on/off for each shot. I do not find the clubs become damages in the bag, only in transit.

I object to it because some people think this a forum for being a smart a@@. That's why. People post to get genuine feedback. Not to get made fun of by a bully who thinks this is a place to show how "funny" he thinks he is. I get tired of reading the replies to someone who needs constant attention. This is not the place or time. If you can't add to the discussion in a positive way, move on.

I use them while being stored or in the back of the car to protect the heads. Not on the course.
