    Hey Team Titleist!

The 25 yard green side shot is among the hardest in all of golf. Requiring both precision and feel, being able to get the ball up and down in these situations can be a real life saver for your round.

Enter Pro V1 loyalist Sahith Theegala, who walks us through a couple of options when faced with this challenge, and exactly how his Pro V1 performs for him when he needs it most.

So what do you rely on most green side, the high spinner or the bump and run?

I like the high spinner. With the Vokeys and ProV1, the ball behavior is predictable and that keeps your focus on the green in front of you.

Mostly bump and run with my trusty 56* but have been working on the high spinner recently with my 60*.

Bump & run for me. I can't ever get the correct amount of spin ... it's either too much or none at all. I haven't mastered that part yet. So I take it out of the equation & rely on how much run out I need. I'll pick a spot to land it & use feel to figure out how hard it needs to be hit. Also, don't get married to one club for those shots. Learn to use all the clubs for the bump & run ... learn how the ball reacts to each club & how far each run out. ;)

Truth is, after several years with the pitching "yips" I use the "Texas Wedge" as much as possible or the low runner with the hybrid. Once in that dreaded 25 - 50 yard range, it gets pretty dicey. My 2023 plans are to focus on these shots and bunker play.

Definitely the bump & run but now trying to use more bounce since it’s softened up out there

I love the high spinner. But always scared of leaving it short.
