I've played with Tour players for years, have a few Korn Ferry guys at our club, what's the best round you've seen? A few weeks back, I watched a 60 from the back tees at a local qualifying spot, Lake Jovita South (7200 +/-). I've been a plus handicap for years, seen a lot of great rounds, even played with a kid that shot 59 in a practice round at Q-School years ago. This 60 was crazy good, and I actually think he left disappointed.

Well, apparently nobody on TT plays with anybody that's any good?

Hey there Ed, I've had the honor/frustration of playing with quite a few plus buddies in the last couple of years and while it definitely has helped, man is it also frustrating when you think you might finally have one of these guys on the ropes and they're just different lol.

That said this year low rounds I've seen a couple 64,65's up close and personal and thought if their putters were hotter it'd be more insane. Had a chance to play Black and first time out watched a buddy hit an even par round which was pretty impressive (even by the local that took us around)

I'm sure you get to see a CRAZY amount of good golf in Fla

My club regularly hosts qualifying events for local events like Valspar/Korn Ferry, it's kinda ridiculous the talent level these days. I get crushed regularly, and I'm anywhere from scratch to a plus handicap. Even the Champion's Tour guys that try to 4 spot on Monday's that I've played with are crazy good, shooting 65-66. Great fun!

In 2011, won our Club Championship Super Seniors Low Net (59). In 2014, three days after my 68th birthday birthday, I shot a 69 with two bogies on the last two holes. Closest I have come to shooting my age. Boy times have changed with all the aches and pains. Am happy if I break 90 now. Age has a way of changing those scores.

**** Guess I will be happy with my four HOI's. 2001, 2012, 2015, 2021. Guess accuracy come with old age.

This the lowest round I've actually seen but it was the most impressive. Played with a guy that shot a 68 on a local par 72 course. You may think that's not that low but he also drank 16 beers during the round. That's impressive.

I have seen maybe a 1 under, but I am am pretty sure the guy cheated at some point during the round (improved lies, finding balls that were lost etc).
  8. I got beat 2&1 in a match play tournament by a then 12 year old kid that didn’t hit a bad shot. It was a couple years back but I believe that I was +1 for the round. It was just the consistency and composure of a 12 year old that was really impressive.

I've seen a current PGA tour player shoot 61 when he was just 17 years old a State Amateur Qualifier. He finished the round and was frustrated that he didn't post a sub 60 number. The talent out there is mind blowing and it makes you realize how truly great the best are.

Great to hear everyones accomplishments this year.

I usually score in the mid 80s to low 90s. Unfortunately this year I'm undergoing intense treatment for terminal cancer. Side effects of chemo make it challenging to have a repeatable stroke but I'm making the best of it and not putting too much pressure on myself.

99 is my best score this year but looking to get back up to where I should be with some additional practice and an update to some of my 12-14 year old equipment.

Carl D, hope your treatment goes well and you are back to playing well soon. Praying for you!

Lowest round I have seen shot is 63(-9). Guy I played with played college and some mini tours for a bit before calling it a career.

He didn’t miss a putt outside of 12 feet all day with most of his birdies being tap in range. Was fun to be a part of.

Funny thing was I shot 70 and thought I played amazingly well. I was left in the dust.

I caddied for a kid a few years ago who shot 64 at a Donald Ross course north of Boston. I was in my early 60's at the time. Point being, I've been around, and this was no fluke. This kid hit iron shots that never left the flag all day long.I saw what was happening and stayed out of his way.On his 10th hole (#1 on the course), a par 5, he had a little over 200 in, mind you, I'm watching this kid stripe it all day. He pulls 5 iron, which I knew was too much.A little gust of wind came from behind and he dropped to a 6 iron. Stuffed it, and made eagle.

    Best round I've ever seen.
