Took a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine 2 weeks ago. We were dropping our son at Logan International Airport on Friday, Sept. 27, and as luck would have it, there was a scheduled tour at 3:15 pm. Booked the tour for my wife and I. Before heading to the airport, I checked the travel time from Logan to BP3, and made sure to have plenty of time. However, when leaving the airport, realized we were going to be about 40 minutes late due to traffic. Called the number in my email and explained our situation, hoping to be able to join late in progress, or at least have an opportunity to go to the gift shop. Was very surprised when June said they would wait for me, as there was only one other person scheduled and she would call them and ask them to come a bit later.
When we arrived, June and our guide met us at the door. When you arrive, you will see your name on the video board, and you check in with your id and sign in. After viewing a short video, you are then led into the plant. It really is amazing how close you get to every aspect of the making of the #1 ball in golf. Seeing the making of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x from the beginning to the end really helped me understand what goes into each and every ball made. I will say it was one of the best tours I have been on. The team was very thorough and informative, and answered all questions.
At the end, you get to purchase some TT apparel and gear.
If you are in the area, I highly recommend making it a point to schedule a tour. You won't be disappointed. June and her team go out of their way to make it a great experience.
Now to try to get to Manchester Lane Testing Facility......
