  1. I’d really like a mini-driver/2w option for off the deck. Will it eventually be offered in LH?

You’ll never see one at retail, but I expect it will be a tad a custom order.
  3. Looking forward to demo my self!
  4. Any feedback on GT280 from Sentry? Hope to game this club soon!

Will this GT280 have a fairway or driver adapter?
  6. This place is full of some smart fellers (and fellerettes!)

Perhaps someone can tell me why I swing my current competitors mini driver, as fast as I swing my
    GT4?
It's literally on average within less than one MPH..
Makes no sense to me... The GT4 is set at 45" playing length, and the mini is, I want to say, 43.5"..?
  7. What are the specs? Head size, shaft length, lie angle, adjustments and price point?
When I see any "mini" driver I compare to the 2014 png Rapture 3 Wood. I drove with and out drove many of clubs with that club for years. Due to Father Time and club technology, the old gray mare just ain't what she used to be.
Is a mini driver the answer to getting off the tee box, perhaps, though I always find its a break down in a fundamental.
I would be interested how it could help my game.

  8. The GT280 sounds like it would perfectly fit as an alternative to a driver when the days are bad with the 1-wood, and even as a strong 3 wood for the courses with the extra long par 5's!

I have regularly been back into my local golf shop, checking on whether or not they have any release date or preorder info for the GT280.

Here's hoping it makes it to retail!
  9. With a drop in swing speed and some nagging injuries on my old body I am very much looking forward to testing this club. It can't be released soon enough for me.
  10. One feature I will appreciate is not having to hit up on this club like a driver. I have a hard time teeing it up high and hitting the center of the face. Swinging it like a 3 wood with a neutral angle of attack will give me solid strikes.

Does anyone know average 3 wood dispersion width in yards?

I just got an old 910 13.5 FD today to start compiling my shot data on and am super interested in this GT280 whenever it comes out. The TM BRNR felt like a step in the right direction...but still just the slightest bit big so I could never pull the trigger on buying it.
I haven't been playing golf too long...but the 440-460cc 910/913 drivers I've been playing have always felt like swinging a toaster on a flag pole. Even with shortening the shaft down, it still feels like a comically large head.

I hear the argument alot about "3 wood only landing 1-3% more fairways" than a driver....but it makes me wonder..... 1 inch off the fairway is going to be the same data entry as 30 yards off the fairway...and I'd much rather have an approach shot barely off the fairway than playing from OB.

From what I can find via DECADE style stats, it seems even the Pro's driver dispersions hover in the 65-75 yard range. The courses I play have 35-45 yard wide fairways lined with old growth trees, so it feels like gambling every time I take out the big stick and totally unrealistic to expect to ever get to the point that my driver will stop costing me shots.

Cant wait to try one these, really like my TSR2+.
  14. Is it coming in lefthanded model? Showing the love for lefties is a bit behind the curve.
  15. Hopefully I can get one and put my AD IZ-6S in it like my TSR2 and GT2 drivers

The new Titleist GT280 — an addition to Titleist’s breakthrough line of GT metalwoods — makes its debut in Maui to kick off the 2025 PGA TOUR season, providing players the opportunity to game the new model in competition for the first time.

With many players seeking an additional option at the top end of their setup, Titleist tour reps and R&D engineers worked with players such as Cameron Young and Will Zalatoris to dial in a 13-degree head that worked as a go-to club off the tee and off the deck. Building off the success of the TSR 2W prototype, which debuted on TOUR at last year’s PLAYERS Championship, the introduction of GT280 at Kapalua marks the start of Titleist’s tour validation process for the new mini-driver.

While collaborating with the game’s best players throughout the R&D process, and then earning their final validation, is foundational to the development of all high-performance Titleist golf equipment, we want to hear from you too. What kind of option are you seeking for the top end of your bag? Would you game a GT280? Do you already have that ideal option? Let us know below!

This will be an interesting club choice that I can't wait for it to become available. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 16.5 degree 5W and my 21 degree 7W. I cannot hit the GT 3W and I am not as accurate with my 10 degree TSR2 as I would like. I am looking forward to the larger club head with the ability to hit more accurately from the tee on those fairways with trouble.
