Is it just my senses being a bit off, or have the more recent versions of the Pro V1x started to be softer in sound (and thus feel)? To me, the clickiness that was distinctive and helped provide feedback particularly on lag putts has diminished. When I compared the most recent generations to prior gens, I thought it was enough to note. Anyone else have similar (or differing) opinions?

The new version might be why Will played the wrong ball , and incurred a 2 stroke penalty if Cam Davis was playing the version that will used to play

Tough break...as you know, that is why you explicitly mark your ball and validate with your playing partner(s) prior to initial Tee off.
Call it what it was, "Laps in Concentration" or a "Brain Fart".

It will be interesting to see how they do this season using the new model. My guess is they will both do well, they are extremely talented and with them rocking the new Titleist they should be tough to beat.
  8. Tom,
I tend to get that sense as well. Sound and feel play a big part for me.
