How do you determine the distance when traveling between different elevations?

I've played quite a bit of tournament golf all over the US, and at varying elevations, temps, and humidity levels. If you are traveling to a place with a lower elevation than where you live, the ball will fly a shorter distance. Higher elevation=ball flying farther. There is no substitute for getting on the range or playing practice rounds and hitting balls. If you know your yardages pretty well at home, then you can make a pretty educated guess on what the ball will do. Unfortunately, there isn't really a set formula for how to figure out the distance change. But when you figure out the % that the ball flies shorter or farther, it will remain pretty consistent throughout the bag. Ie. I live in OK. When I go to Las Vegas, I know that the ball will fly roughly 8% farther than at home. I know this from hitting balls, using my range finder, and recording the results. PW @home=146yds. 146x.08=12 146+12=158yds. 5iron@ home=201yds. 201x.08=16 201+16=217yds. To avoid doing all the math on the course, I get my yardage book for the course and do all of the math ahead of time, so when I'm on the course, I can focus on wind direction, elevation change, etc., not on being a mathematician. Sorry for the long winded answer, but I hope this helps.
