  1. Good afternoon fellow TTers. I know many of you hail from the Northeast, mainly New England. I was wondering what your favorite Connecticut courses are played or wish to play...here is mine in order if favorites. Hope to see one or two worth getting out on as a gem I didn’t know existed.

Yale River Highlands Lake of Isles Fox Hopyard Wintonbury New Haven CC Oxford Greens The Ranch (Ma/Ct border) Racebrook

    At least once a season!

I miss Tower Ridge, when it was in it's prime.

Back when I lived in NY I got to play some Connecticut courses such as Redding CC, Ridgewood CC, Richter Park, Greenwich CC, The Farms CC in Wallingford, Morefar, and E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course in Greenwich are the ones that come to mind.

Joshua, as you may remember, I was a CT guy once. (Actually most of my life.) Played literally hundreds of rounds--maybe over a thousand--at Oxford Greens. (I was a member there for 8 years.) It was one of the 4 or 5 top courses in CT.

Your list has many of the best in CT already on it. I like Wintonbury a lot too. Lake of Isles was a bit too pricey for me, but worth the money if you have it. Probably one of the best in the east, not just CT. Yale and Fox Hopyard are both fantastic. Never was able to play TPC-RH.

The only one I do not see on your list which is a "must play" is Great River in Milford. Have played it a number of times. It's definitely worth the price. I heard Sacred Heart University owns it now. It was a public track last I knew, but it always seemed private. It had a level of exclusivity surrounding it when I was there. Everything top-shelf. If you haven't been there, you have to go.

Played a few courses in CT over the years. Lake of Isles at Foxwoods is hands down my favorite place to play. The private south course is nice but the public north course is the one to play in my opinion. The best time to play is in the spring as the course is usually in pristine condition.
