    Hi guys,

    I currently played a 910D3 driver, 15 910F and then 5-PW AP2s with 52 56 and 60 wedges.

I am not sure what hybrids to put in the bag to fill the gap between the 15 degree 3 wood and 5 iron (27 degree), what would you recommend?

I may also consider ordering a 4i in the AP2 and if I did what hybrids would you recommend then?

    Hi Wasim,

There are a lot of variables in your question, so it may be best to discuss the set up with your pro or whoever fitted you.

Assuming that your 15 deg 910F is set to standard loft, you have a 12 deg gap between your fairway and you AP2 5-iron. What is best to fill that gap can be influenced by a number of things - how confident you are with your long irons, what sort of flight (and distance) you get from a hybrid, what shaft you have in the hybrid, etc.

In general terms, you are looking to get equal distance gapping between clubs and this has a correlation to the loft of the clubs. In your case, you could look at either adding 19 and 24 deg hybrids or a 19 deg hybrid and the AP2 4-iron (which is 24 deg). The advantage of the two hybrids would be the ability to adjust the loft on either by +0.75 deg / 1.5 deg or -0.75 deg in order to get the distance gaps consistent.

Sorry for the long winded and vague answer, but the best option would be to discuss with your Titleist fitter, as they can watch you swing and make a recommendation based on ball flight and distances.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I was in the same position, with the D3 and a 15FD, in the end i was finding that the gap between the D3 and the FD was to close, ended up swapping the FD for a 19f and getting a 21 hybrid, just right for my next club ...a AP2 4-iron, now i find that if the driver is having an off day the 19f is more than adequate to keep me straight and very very long....
