Of course you could get away without having it but you want it so go and get it. The TS3 3 wood is a great club and an asset to the bag, you can just get it out and look at it !!!

I use woods much more often than you think. Currently buying a 3 wood but with 270 Driver carry I carry a 21 wood 225 ish so hoping for around 240 250 with a 3 wood. I use the 3 mainly from tee's on tighter par 4's or where I want to be in a specific position for my second shot.

I need a 3 wood (15 degree for my course and my age) and the TS2 has been a great addition to my bag as used off the tee as well.

Why not check out the Titleist trial clubs in your area an give one a try FOC..

How do you find the TS2 off the tee? I'm lucky enough to hit it far enough that I'll rarely need to use it off the deck, but looking for a controllable 3 wood for certain shots from the tee? I already have a 21 degree TS2 as well. Booked in for a Titleist day next week but looking to decide on some factors in advance.

Love it off the tee as well.

Haven't used the 18 degree off the tee yet but one of our longer par 3's might be in reach once the weather warms up.

Forty yards is quite a gap.
I'm not certain but I think you can de-loft the hybrid one degree or so. There is a table of adjustment settings knocking around the site... This may give you some thinking time before deciding but I can't imagine it would fit neatly into your yardages, though it might be adequate for your home course needs.

Unless of course you are seeking encouragement from your friends and supporters in TT to splash out on the 3 wood, in which case, my advice would be Fill Your Boots - as quickly as you can.

I have the 917 15deg 3 wood and had no plans to change to the TS model. I am terrible at hitting 3 woods of the deck - always have been - and really just use it off the tee.

However I realise that being able to hit the occasional fairway wood off the deck is a good shot to have and have been working hard on it this winter. It is getting there but I still lack confidence to hit it when out on the course.

That was until I tried the TS3 but as a 16.5 deg (similar to a 4 wood I think?). I honestly did not think 1.5 deg would make that much difference but it has been a real eye opener. The distance is slightly longer than my 917 but it wasn't about that for me, the big thing is that I just find it so easy to hit.

I haven't had a formal fitting yet, my local Titleist fitter is good enough to let me try one at the range when my son is having his weekly lesson.

That is the club I went for after my fit on Monday. It was the club I had in my head I would like, but went with an open mind to see what I was fit for. Last addition to the bag before the start of the new season!
