Recently upgraded my 915f 5 wood to a tsi2 but still like the old 915 head. How would a 7 wood shaft work in the 5 wood head - adjusted to highest loft - to use as a strong 7 wood... just a thought as not keen on hybrids. Cheers.

In theory that would work fine. You even hear of people carrying 2 "4 irons" now, one of which is a match to the rest of their irons, the other being more of game improvement iron with a stronger loft and slightly longer shaft.

Regardless of the number on the bottom of the club (in your case a 5 wood), if you have 2 similar heads but one has more loft (due to you lofting the face up with a sure fit sleeve) and a shorter shaft - they should play differently. One thing to be aware of is that if you change the loft via sure fit adapter, you'll also change the lie angle and face angle - worth an experiment though! Let us know how you get on.
