  1. Instead of looking at just the distance to the pin, but focus on wind direction, wind strength and shot trajectory to pick the right club to choose for your approach shots.

Keep the ball off the tee. Use the stinger to keep shots boring and low into the wind. Use hybrid and putter from off the green instead of wedges for long pitch or chip shots.

Keep the ball below the wind and play it on the ground as much as possible.

If I was to winan Open Championship my game would need lots of changes. I would start with sacrificing 10 to 20 yards off the tee by taking a bit off my swing (Harder I swing the more I tend to slice). Additionally going after the pin and setting myself up with my short game would be ideal to avoid the lengthy putts on rolling greens. Wind needs to be considered at all times and keep drives low.

I would keep the ball low, hope there is no wind and stay cool.
  6. I hit the ball way too high. Would have to adjust somehow, whether it be tee down or some other way to have a lower ball flight to avoid wind and encourage more roll
  7. its all going to be about shot selection and placement. you will have to know where the contours are in the fairway in order place the only ball (prov1) on flat lies. creativity will be key, short game will be at a premium.

  8. T-MB 3 off the tee and lots of Scotty T-10 from off the green. Gaining strokes comin and goin!

If the conditions were windy, then I would work on moving the ball back in my stance, standing a little closer, swing easier and trap the ball.

I would consider putting in a 2 iron & 3 iron (bye higher lofted fairway wood & hybrid) into play for the week to drive them low off the tee/fairway.

I wouldn't change much. I am a high ball hitter, so i would have to adjust and try and keep it low out of the wind, unless downwind then tee it high and let it fly!. hit some low spinners into the greens and hope I'm putting good. over all I would just try to take it all in, and enjoy the experience. finished low team in a 2man this year where the wind was blowing 40ish km/h all day, so we must have done something right. #teamtitleist
  11. Add 2 & 3 T-MB Irons, go down to a 7.5 loft in driver.
  12. I would probably switch my 5 wood for a long iron (2 or 3 iron)...

I'd be looking to control ball flight. Most times looking for a low ball flight but perhaps at times looking to take advantage of a tail wind to get some extra carry to better landing areas.

You have to hit it low and stay away from the pot bunkers. Please ready to use your Vokey sand wedge.

definitely lose the 5 wood, drop in a 2-3 iron TMB. All irons 3/4 shots. Taking wide stances when putting!!! ☔️, & patience..

I naturally have a lower ball flight so I would change the SureFit setting from D1 on my driver back to D4 (or lower...A4) to help battle the windy conditions. I also only carry 13 clubs so I would add a 2 iron in my bag which would most likely be my go-to club off the tee.

I naturally have a low ball flight so I would adjust my driver from D1 back to either D4 or possibly lower A4 to help battle the windy conditions. I also only carry 13 clubs and I would add a 2 iron which would probably be my go-to club off the tee to keep the ball in play and hopefully avoid the pot bunkers and fescue.

Any time I could keep it low I would. I'd take 2 extra clubs and hit a lot of punch shots. Luckily (sadly?) I've got lots of practice punching below tree limbs from the rough so wouldn't trouble me too much.
  20. Practising in my backyard with foam balls. Most of the time I use Titleist Pro V1.
