  1. Swing smooth and try to miss in the right spots, and by all means stay out of the pot bunkers!

I would a lot of stinger shots and keep the ball on the ground.

    Mitch.
    thanks for another great contest.
i would try to make the following changes :)
driver - 3/4 swing abbreviated swing to keep it low.
    o
no fairway wood as i struggle with it.
    3 iron instead.
otherwise irons are good as is and if really windy would need to deloft and lower the trajectory.

Keep it simple. Stiff shafts, long irons, lots of extra balls.
  6. I'd make sure I had appropriate wet weather gear.

Great question...as far as my clubs go I think that I would get the grinder out and take some of the bounce out of my clubs to play all the tight lies around RT. I would probably also remove my 60 deg SM6 and replace it with a 54 to allow me more "ball on the ground" shots.
As far as adjusting my swing...where do I begin....but if I am going to dream I would find the elixer to add 40 yards to every club and thankfully my flat swing would allow me to stay dry as I could probably swing my sticks under the umbrella...what...I can't do that?....ok...rain suit it is!!! #TeamTitleist

I would take the hybrid out of my bag, and put a 2 and 3 T-MB in my bag. Then to better prepare, head to Cape Breton to play Cabot to get some practice in. Then I would be ready to attack!!!

If I was competing at Royal Troon, I would switch out my hybrid for my 3 iron because it has a much lower flight and ball spin which is ideal for tee shots around links courses. I would work on knocking the ball down and delofting the clubface to keep my ball out of the wind. The last thing I would do is spend a lot of time around the pitching/chipping areas working on bump and runs because being able to play the ball low around the greens is a great shot to have as you can see when you watch the players in the Open.

Assuming it is windy, I would close the club face to keep my shots low, playing a bit more conservative. Taking precautions to not lose strokes, like avoiding the bunkers.
  11. I think honestly i would just ask phil to play for me. I don't have much of an ego and he has a lot of experience with this kind of thing.

Firstly, I would make sure I have my Titleist staff carry bag packed with some quality FJ rain gear. However, I would allow my game to embrace more creativity and feel to manage the tough Open Championship conditions. Just simply golfing my golf ball in a very classic/ true manner, how these courses intended the game to be played.
  13. Hit stingers. Close my eyes hope for the best. BIIIIIITTTTTEEEEE

I would probably adjust all the woods/hybrids a lower loft to help flight under the wind and produce maximum rollout. I would also ensure to practice more putting from off the green, since this is always a common thing in links golf.
Might adjust some wedges for bunker play as well...

I wouldn't change a darn thing. It's been so dry and firm lately, I'm glad that I ordered my T-MB 2 iron bc thats all I would hit there. Having recently broken my best score record I'm feeling pretty good about my game too!

I would try to flight the ball lower and avoid the bunkers

Club up...Choke down...and trust my PRO V1X with controllable spin. It's not the wands - it's the magician!!! #TeamTitleist
  19. Playing in Manitoba necessitates playing in all kinds of weather to get the most of the golf season. In the wind and rain staying warm and dry(ish) is the first priority so muscles work freely. Good rain suit and all weather gloves would be in my bag. There would have to be lots of practice on my knockdown shots as well as bunker play.
At any of the Open courses I would hire and listen carefully to a local caddy.
I love watching the Open and maybe someday will get to see one live and play some of the surrounding courses.
  20. As I had the great experience of playing 3 courses in the rota some years ago. When the rain and wind is coming sideways was to widen your stance when putting and take more club than you think necessary as the wind is so strong.
    Cheers all.
