    We're back with another Major Contest to celebrate the seasons second Major!

    In the spirit of the fescue at Erin Hills, share a story below with a past  run in you may have had with some thick rough or fescue.  Did you pull off the shot or did it get the best of you?

    We'll randomly draw 3 winners on Monday, June 19th, 2017 from the comments posted to this thread.  Prize pack details are in the image below. Canadian Residents only please!

    Found myself in some fescue Tuesday night and just managed to get it out with my 52* volkey
    Cheering for all the Team Titleist players this week at the US open! Need more Cow bell!

    Was playing a match and lost my ball left on a par 3 in the fescue. Search for my ball and find "my Titleist" 4, chop it out with my 60 degree Vokey wedge on to the green YES! While lining up my putt I realize it's not my 4 as it doesn't have a red line on it but someone else's : ( I lost the hole for playing the wrong ball. I now mark my Pro V1s while wearing a size L shirt with a red line and dots around both numbers.

    Also, I signed up to receive my Team Titleist bag tag months ago and haven't received it?

    Recently playing Whistle Bear prior to the LPGA Manulife Classic I dead pulled an iron on the par 3 14th hole into deep fescue. Hacking out with my Vokey custom lob wedge, I was able to chop it over a bunker to inside 10 feet. Sorry to say I missed the par saving putt but at least I pulled off the shot. Fun to watch some of the ladies playing out of the rough after the wind picked up this past weekend!

    one of my best shots ever was out of fescue, the ball came out like a rocket and I made the green without any issues! Pure luck as we all know fescue is brutal and and the toughest grass anybody can play out of.

    Played a few days ago at Pipers Heath (Oakville, ON)... Long fescue everywhere .. only played one ball out which I advanced only 20 yards.. the other 2 times I took my medicine and took my penalty stroke.. Can't imagine what the boys at Erin Hills will face, but it will be fun to watch!!

    Hit ball out of long grass, straight up in air and hit my club twice on way down for two stoke 's added to card. X Large pro v 1

    148 yd par 3 hit my 7 iron to 13ft no big deal except the head of my 7 iron broke off and went 25ft in front of me. The only good thing about the hole was I got my par. Thanks John

    Fescue! We only have fescue on the back nine at our course. By late June, it can get pretty high before it gets mowed......standing in almost knee high fescue, I remarkably find my ball. It seems to be sitting up a little bit but some grass is bent towards my target. Thinking I am only going to get about 20 yards out of this shot, I swing for the fences! Unbeknown to me, there was another ball just in front of mine underneath that bent grass. I managed to hit both balls, with the other ball going much further than my own ball! I don't think that shot could ever be repeated!

    I take a Medium sized shirt and I always play Pro V1's!

    Playing the first hole at Pipers Heath, pulled my second shot into the mounds on the left. Luckily it was early in the season and I was able to find my Pro V1. Chipped on to 6 feet and saved par.

    As a junior golfer, playing by myself at a top ranked links design just north west of Toronto, I got so fed up trying to hit out of particularly long fescue that I threw my club and it actually got lost in the long stuff. Had to wave two groups through and make like I was looking for lost balls before finally finding it and resuming my round. Super embarrassed, never threw my club again though. Lesson learned.

    Would love to win the Team Titleist prize pack. Been bidding on the bag tags on eBay for months with no luck. I wear an XL and play ProV1x.

    Had an experience with fescue on local links style course (Hunter's Point). Fescue was at least knee deep and I was more concerned with ticks than the actual shot at hand. From knowledge I had gathered over the years I anticipated the hosel of my club being grabbed by fescue and decided to aim extremely far to the right. Shot came off as I expected and was able to secure my par. By the way, no ticks either.

    One run in I had in the fescue, after looking forever I finally found my ball. As I set up over the ball to give it a hack, there was another ball under my foot. Turned out to be a Pro V1! My shot only barely made it out of the fescue back to the rough. As i walked out of the fescue I stepped on another Pro V1. Usually lose balls in that fescue not coming out +2 ball Pro V1 count.

    Fescue on #5 at Rivershore did in my elbow a couple of weeks ago. Advanced the ball about ten yards, but into a worse lie. Second shot did get out, barely. What's that third option for an unplayable lie, drop on a line extended from the flag through your ball, back as far as you like. Next time.

    Was playing a god-awful links course last year, and while struggling to locate an errant tee shot I dropped a ball from my pocket into the fescue. Down two balls and any confidence I had in my game, I took my penalty and finished the hole. Fescue - 1, Me - 0
