  1. I have always been accused of buying too many golf balls. My dad, not to throw him under the bus, I believe has more than his local Pro Shop.. For me, I give what I don’t use at year end to the local First Tee program and then start the new season over with the buy 3 get 1 offer from Titleist. I think the moral of the story is that if you are buying Titleist, you can never have too many!

Working at a golf course creates no magic number of golf balls to have - since you always find another good one. The course I worked for was next to a place that bordered horses. My first December the owner came in and said that he had golf balls which the course bought from him. I told him to bring them in and I would give him a receipt. He brought in over 2000!! There were a few that I was not sure if they were a golf ball or a present from the horses, but there were a lot of Pro V's in great condition.
  3. I always have to have at least a dozen of Pro V1x balls in the bag. I have three dozen at home and could always use more.

I'm a 68 year old beginner, so right now I probably have 15-16 dozen on hand. It isn't uncommon for me to lose 5-8 balls per 18 holes. I used to fuss about losing a ball and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find them, I gave that up and now just grab another from my pocket and play on. I enjoy the game a lot more not dithering about the lost balls. I like the feel and control DT TruSoft allow me to use, at some point I hope to be able to finish a round with the ball I started with. I am getting better.

In the bag 8 or 6 needs to be even number
    Only Prov 1x number 4
Play about 90+ rounds a year
Buy in the spring 5 doz custom ProV1x
  6. I‘ve had over 20 dozen NIB at one time, because I can’t pass up a good deal.

I started this season with about 15 dozen, sold off a few, given some away and replenished. Right now I have about 5 dozen each of the current versions of my 2 favorite balls and I plan to stay in that range. If My supply starts to drop, I’ll replenish as needed, but not to the levels I was at.

I wish I could say I had any new golf balls on hand, I work on 2 golf courses so I play whatever I can find. I still have golf balls from the last 2 courses I’ve worked at. I probably have close to 400 golf balls, 300 are shag balls for practicing and probably only 2 dozen are decent titleists I like to play. Once in a blue moon I talk my dad into going half on a dozen so we can both afford it.
  8. I usually buy 5 to 6 dz a year. I’ll use a new sleeve for each round as I rotate them between holes and then I retire them to my old ball collection.
  9. No wonder Titleist is the leading maker of golf balls. I had no idea. If I collect more than a dozen old tired golf balls they make one way trip to the driving range.
  10. I haven’t ever bought a golf ball. Many of the golf events in which I participate provide a sleeve or two. I play three to five rounds a week in season. I find two or three balls every round and only keep the good ones. I hardly ever loose one. Two years ago I played all of October, November, and 1 week in December with the same ProV1x. On the third tee on Dec. 6, I noticed the ball was cracked around the entire circumference so I had to use a new ball.

Seem to always have more than needed. Over any given season I might change ball preferences one or two times which when you purchase two or three boxes results in an excess inventory when moving on to the next best thing. As a consequence, my storage unit is often a reflection of great ideas from the past.

I’m a ranger at a local club and work the outings...I love the scramble format that speeds play .It also happens to create situations where errant tee shots are not searched for . I’m able to find many of these to add to my supply...Therefore I have hundreds of balls most of which I donate to junior golf but I do keep the Pro V, ProV x and Avx for my own use..
  13. You can never have to many golf balls....lol
I play the balls I find on my local course, sell some to my friends, and give some to the school kids.
  14. I usually carry 1 sleeve of new balls on days I’m playing (usually 1 x week). I’ll carry about 8-10 “extras that are slightly used” -just in case. I’m pretty consistent about keeping the ball in play; I just don’t hit it very far. Just started playing again after lower back problems.

I play around 100 rounds a year, so go through about 20 dozen a year, average one ball in water and one in the woods each round. (0 for a good round, 6 for a bad one) I buy 3-4 dozen when I'm down to the last two.
  16. 2 boxes
  17. 3doz ——1 in the bag —— 2 on the shelf to use as needed :- )))

I always take advantage of the spring promotion. Those 48 balls nearly always last about a year, playing about 70 rounds. Cart paths are the main thing that causes me to retire a ball. I carry my bag, so six balls is a lot, and I only do that when I know the course to be particularly voracious. I have two shag bags full of the retirees. I use them on the chipping range.

  19. When will Titleist start putting manufactured date on balls? How long are balls in prime condition if they are not used?
  20. I go thru about a dozen a year.Love the yellow pro v1s.only lost 2 in 4weeks.Got 2 dozen in my bag. Last me till spring
