  1. It was last year on a Thursday nite league. Second shot on teh par 4 dogleg left landed went past the pin and was 7 feet off the green in some fluffy thick rough. The greens were fast and the hill sloped away from me. I took the 60 degree Vokey, opened the face, aimed a little right of the hole then swung as hard as I could. The ball flopped up extemely high, landed very soft, and then started rolling slowly down the hill. It maintained the perfect speed and rolled for 20 feet then dropped into the cup for a Birdie. My playing partner went crazy and all hree guys said it was the best golf shot they had ever seen (I had to agree). We won the match!
  2. hit my driver at Squaw Valley links course fifth hole 364 yds. never saw the ball,so i hit another ball, did not see it. drove around could not find either ball.so i figured it might be a little father up the fairway than i thought, and there it was in middle of fairway 212 yds from hole where i hit to edge of green and 3 putted for a par. (bummer) still not bad for 74 year old. hit with ProV 1X.
  3. On my 50th birthday I played in the Las Vegas invitational. Playing w Lenny Clements and two other amateurs we came to the ninth hole on TPC Summerlin. Water surrounded behind the green and trap to the right. I hit my ball into trap on second shot. The green was surrounded by spectators including my friends and family. Nervous I was is an understatement. I proceeded to hit ball into cup. Crowd went nuts. Made a birdie and enjoyed the shot of my life
  4. Last year I made my first and second hole in ones in a three month stretch. Both balls were Titleist PRO V1s. Definitely two shots that will always standout above the rest.
  5. Playing in a father-daughter tourney when she was 6 or 7 years old. Alternate shot format. I holed a 4-iron on a Par 5 from about 185 yards for eagle. My daughter (and me too!) thought it was the greatest thing ever!
  6. Yesterday, I hit a 207 yd 3 wood onto the green on my second shot on par 5 number 18. I’m 65 year old lady using a ProV1X.

I have 3 holes-in-one: the first came on a 144 yard par 3, with a Pro V1, the second one came on a 152 yard hole with a Pro V1x, and the 3rd came on a 177 yard hole with an AVX ball (testing this ball for the 1st time). My primary ball is the Pro V1. I simply refuse to play any other brand.

Let me take you back to the scene… It was May 31, 2015 at the Dormie Club in Pinehurst. The Betty Cup trophy was on the line. Our Ryder Cup-style tournament, established in 2001, had ended in a tie, and the two captains were thrust into a three-hole playoff. It was me vs. Byrd.

I was definitely the underdog, but I kept battling and we headed to the Par 4 third hole tied. Both approach shots missed the green. Byrd was just short of the green, while I was in a greenside waste bunker. (Side note: my sand game sucks.) Byrd pitched his third shot onto the green, leaving him about ten feet below the hole for par. Thanks to some savvy advice from my caddie, I took my Pro V1 and PUTTED the ball out of the bunker. It had perfect speed, caught the ridge just right and rolled toward the flag, stopping about eight feet above the cup.

When Byrd’s par putt slid just right for a tap-in bogey, the trophy was mine to win. With 19 hooligans watching intently, I said a quick prayer, lined up the Pro V1 and rolled it in the heart. The best moment of my golfing life, and my trusty Titleist was there to help make it possible.

My most memorable shot was #1 at Oakmont Country Club the first time I got to play there. A nice high slice out of bounds, with a brand new ProV1x. Oh well hitting 3....lol

Do you have a shot that stands out as the best you've ever hit? Fill in the blank and let us know by adding a reply below...

For me, the best shot I hit in recent memory with my Pro V1x was a 2-footer for par on the 18th hole of The Old Course. While the shot itself wasn't anything spectacular, the culmination of that magical experience will be hard to beat for me.

I was playing last Saturday at Seneca Park in Louisville Ky it's a downhill Par 3 playing 195 I hit a 5 wood shot looked as good as it sounded and with the cups raised out about 2 inches above the ground so when my Pro V ended up 6 inches in front of the cup your guess is as good as mine, did it hit the cup and bounce back or did it come up short. Well for sure it's a story but was it a Covid Hole in one ?
  12. Hard to beat this one best shot of my life at Edgewater Golf Club in Lancaster, SC. No. 15 231 yard par 3 downhill shot I hit a 3 hybrid and the ball hit the front of the green took a bounce and rolled in the hole. Longest shot holed out by me by far Love a Pro V1!!!!

#11 at Blue Mash Golf Course in Maryland. Flight a night high draw from 207 away, over water to a left to right sloping green. Absolutely flushed a 4 iron, into the wind, one hop and trickle and in. 1st and ONLY ace.
Side note, took out a brand new ball, Titleist 7, and still have it today. It’s been hit once confided and only once, and now sits in it proper resting place.
  14. I have had 4 aces with the ProV1 but, my best shot was a 203 yard 3 wood to a bunker protected green, in the hole, for an eagle 2.

I had holes in one on #2 (2) and #10 at Mt. View Country Club par 3’s. I had another on #11 also a par 3 at Punxsutawney Country Club on my second shot after going OB for a 3.
  16. I had a 90 yard wedge, downhill. As I watched it fly I turned to my buddy and said it's gonna be close. The ball dove into the cup on the fly without disturbing the lip. All we could see was the pin shaking like crazy. Best eagle I ever made.

No doubt it was the last hole in one I had on August 1, 2018 at #12, Soldier Hollow Gold in Midway, UT. It's always satisfying to hit a pitching wedge 154 (7400 ft above sea level) but even better when it takes one hop and disappears into the bottom of the hole. It was my third hole-in-one but the first one I actually watched go in the hole!

  18. First my 75 years old. The best shot I can remember hitting with a pro-v. Was on par five 560 yards and I reached it in two. Ended up with a birdie. The pro-v I hit was one I had found the hole before. Ever since then they have been my ball of choice. Yesterday I shot a 42-37=79. First two rounds this year.
  19. Briarcrest CC, #5, 166 TD par 3 first hole in one.
  20. Hole in one, #8 at Valley Club, Montecito, CA. On my birthday.

This incredible Alister MacKenzie design opened in 1929. The eighth hole is an uphill par 3, 157 yds from the white tees. The hole spans two of the three hills on the course. The first hill is the site of the Carlton Winslow designed clubhouse and the 15th and the 18th green complexes. The second hill includes the tees for the 8th and the 4th holes, and includes the green for the 3rd hole. The eighth green nestles into the side of the third hill on the course, which is also home to the ninth and eleventh tees and the 10th green.

The green on the eighth is bisected by a ridge and on this day the pin was in the front, at the bottom of the bisecting slope. One of the group remarked that the pin was in the 'hole-in-one' position - a well struck ball to the top of the ridge could roll back into the cup. I did it a bit differently, landing just on the front with a low trajectory, the shot rolled straight into the cup.

  21. I was an assistant professional at a country club where a member had asked several times to play with me. He was a higher handicapper (25), but a great guy, and I really wanted to play with him but our schedules never meshed. One day I had a slew of lesson cancellations (bad weather was forecasted) and he was eating lunch with his threesome. I didn't want to be forward so I asked if due to the circumstances they would mind if I joined them...off we went. Of course, on the first tee we negotiated (or pleaded a case... Denny, the head pro, always told me "you win your bets on the first tee, based on your negotiating skills") for a game that was fair to all. I would give each 75% of their handicap and we would play a small nassau. Me from the blues, them from the whites.

The front was unremarkable for anyone, but the back showed some promise for me. Birdie, par and then #12... I had honors on the 186 yard, fairly level hole with a huge green- nice slope from back to front. My pro V1 was a laser that was all over the hole from the start, landing three feet behind the hole and backing up straight into it...,my friend started jumping up and down and even ran back down the 11th screaming "pro made a hole in 1...pro made a hole in 1".. Once we collected ourselves, the others teed off and my friend proceeded to thin one that rolled the last five yards of approach onto the green and...into the hole.

Two holes in one in the same group...crazy right?...well try this on for size, I made a 1 and LOST THE #$@&in hole. 75% of 25 is 18 + change. My 1 was beat by his net 0!

I still have my hair, the ball and a story that I have to bite my tounge to repeat. I never played with him again. Denny, I have to learn to negotiate better.
