Jim said it well above - trust. It extends to the clubs too, but the combination of the Titleist clubs and a Pro V1x, if struck solidly, I know how far it's going, where it's going, and how it will react when it hits the fairway or green.

When I play a Titleist ball I know that it will perform consistently. The quality checks and controls in place ensure that I get a consistent ball from sleeve to sleeve.

They are the best in the business because they are probably the most consistent ball I have ever played. I know how they will react on every shot. To go along with consistency, they are also the best performing ball. They have the right spin numbers, long distance, and of course perfect feel. They have been in the business for decades and it certainly shows.

I don't really like the word best because what is best for me may not be the best for someone else. I know several people where Titleist just isn't the best ball for them and that's ok.
