First, I have to say, I am almost mid 50's, so I am a little old school (<-you will only see 2 wedges).  I also believe the most important things in my golf bag are my Pro V1 golf balls.

I also re-grip 14 clubs every year (15 if my putter needs re-gripping) I have recently replaced my 3 Iron with a 7 Wood.  I have already mentioned I am old school, so please understand that I have used and liked most of these clubs for many years ... ok, here goes -

Being forged doesn't affect the performance of the wedge, at least no measurable amount.  As far as I am aware, it just changes the feel.  Feel is a matter of personal preference.  I play Titleist wedges because there are a ton of loft, bounce and sole grind options, all of which affect how the wedge performs.  As a lefty, I would have exactly 1 option in the GW, SW and LW categories with Mzno and with Titleist I have between 4-9 options in each category.  That's why I play Titleist.  

Made an upgrade this past weekend.  After going to my local course and being able to demo the new 714 AP1s I made the switch.  I had always played forged irons, but I found that I tend to hit either a baby draw or a baby cut.  i do not work that ball all that much and I wanted a club that was more forgiving and with a higher ball flight.  The AP1s give me just that.  They are basically a "point and shoot" iron.  Ball takes off high and lands soft.  PERFECT!  Here is the updated bag:
