My most memorable round of golf came last year 2019. I worked at this course for 2 yrs and was a member there for 5+ years. Anyway, I quit that job to follow the then Super to another course that needed our turn around magic. I still played at the old course for Monday night league and the owner was a player also. Long story short arguements happened and I regret nothing. After league was up I was to be banned from the course.
Well, it just so happened that the following week after the owners blowup on me we had him and his partner in the final match before playoffs, my opponent was the owner. Important match due to one of us being knocked off the top 4. Everything worked out great for me. Used the AVX ball and my putter was on point. I knew if I won one more hole I would have this match in the bag after the 4th hole. 5th hole came about. Tee shot perfect left side rough right over this big thorn tree. Approach shot PW landed front right on the green, pin in center location and green is wide from left to right. He missed his birdie chip short about 4 feet out. My 40 foot putt for birdie never left the line and went in dead center. I walked up bent down grabbed my ball and as I was standing up told the owner, “it’s over pick it up!”. Beat him 16-4. Best feeling ever!!!!

My best score is 66 and I've shot it five times. It would have been nice if one of those were a 65 but I digress haha. My most memorable was the first time I shot 66. Not only was it the first time I had broken 70, but I had a birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie finish. Completely unreal finish with the eagle being a kick-in and the birdie on 18 was a bomb from about 30 feet.

My most memorable round was not necessarily a round of golf I played. It was when I went to see the 2013 Walker Cup at National Golf Links of America. This is undoubtedly the best, most strategic course I have ever seen. A well known architect calls it the best course in America. A number of template holes from Scotland are at NGLA. I guess for playing it would be Sand Hills Golf Club. An amazing strategic, minimalistic golf course which challenges you on every hole. INCREDIBLE!!

I guess I need to do better research.......the well known architect was asked "what one course would you
want to play for the rest of your life", NGLA was his answer.

My favorite round ever was 2 years ago with my Dad out in Palm Springs. He had aways wanted to come out this way and we played 2 days at the Westin Mission Hills and it was glorious. He said it was right up there with Pebble Beach for him. We didn't shoot any scores worth mentioning but man did we have a great time out there for the weekend. Not to get all emotional but It was one of the last rounds my Dad and I played together. It's always going to be my number one moment in golf. Just pure joy on the course and off.

    Cheers.
